A Word from Josh:
For practical purposes, this show marks the end of our Summer 2015. A bittersweet occasion for sure, but the weather cooperated big time with a very pleasant evening in late September. What didn't cooperate was the college football schedule as the Badgers played a home game against the University of Hawaii smack dab during our show. I don't know if this had a significant effect on our turnout but the crowd was pretty good nonetheless. We've never played at this event before. Our performance took place in a medium-sized pavillion in Fireman's Park which is next to Middleton High School. The entertainment started early with solo acoustic shows from Peter Kish and Pat McCurdy. I've been a long time fan and friend of Pat McCurdy having first seen him perform way back in 1992. Frankie, on the other hand, was experiencing his first Pat show today and he loved it. Pat is a very clever, talented and entertaining performer. Speaking of talented performers... we submit for your consideration Mr Andrew Gonzales; vocalist for the evening. Andrew is the third different fill-in singer we've used during John's current medical leave and he's the one we knew the least going in. He quickly proved that he can hold his own with the best of them and did an outstanding job. He lives in Madison and normally plays out with his group called Kings of Radio. We really appreciate him helping us out tonight. Our show was done by 10 o'clock which meant we had a whole lot of evening left over for further mischief. I went out with one of my sons and some friends, we bounced around to a few places including the Ivory Room where I used to be a regular "dueling pianist." While there, I was tickled to be invited to dust off my rendition of "Jack & Diane" on the ivories. Great fun.     --Josh
