A Word from Josh:
Last night's foul weather threatened to encroach on today's show which would have been terrible because, although the small stage has a small roof over it, the rest of the beer garden is uncovered. We saw forecasts that called for the end of the rain by mid-day so we proceeded confidently with plans for the show. But even when the rain stopped, the clouds remained causing great concern among some of our friends as we set up the equipment. We started the show to a modest crowd and indeed, during the first set a very light, misty rain returned. It was never enough to cause anybody to seek shelter, but it still felt like the weather was getting the best of this event. Perhaps, at that point, we were resigned to simply make the best of an unfortunate situation, entertain the die-hards in attendance and go home with higher hopes for next week. But then came the second set. The rain disappeared, never to return, and a lot more people arrived ready to party. Before we knew it, the show was an unqualified success and we enjoyed performing for a great crowd that was getting off on our performance. We'd like to thank everybody who came out and contributed to the fun including the bartender who, on several occasions, made the rounds through the crowd and across the stage to pour adult beverages directly into the mouths of anybody who wanted it. Also, big thanks go out to Joey Gleesing for singing with us the past two nights. Technically he was filling in for Charles who was filling in for John and he did a great job!! If you were as impressed with him as we were, perhaps you can find him on Facebook and send him some love. So, who will be singing with us next week? Well, just enjoy the mystery and know that whoever it is, it will be awesome!     --Josh
