"A Slice of the Pie" • WI State Fair • August 8, 2015

Posted by Cherry Pie

A Word from Josh:
It's Saturday night at the State Fair and, in sharp contrast to last night, the weather is absolutely perfect. That is a recipe for a major concert event in the Bud Pavilion and that's exactly what we got. Over the years we've played to some epic crowds at this venue but none were bigger than the gathering we enjoyed tonight. The show went pretty well and made for a very magical evening. A special moment came during the second set when John had a heart-to-heart with the audience. He had recently posted on Facebook his feelings about having to miss some upcoming shows because of major shoulder surgery scheduled for next week. He was overwhelmed by the response as more than 100 different people posted heart-felt comments within a few hours and he wanted to thank everybody for the enormous support he has received from PIE Nation. In the end, this was a special night at the State Fair and we get to do it all over again next Friday!!! See you there!    -Josh
