A Word from Josh: This was our third straight night of Rock and we could not have asked for better weather during this stretch. Tonight we came to Dousman for the first time. This festival was abundant with small-town charm. Before the show, some of us were chauffeured over to a large backyard party where we were treated like rock stars. Back at the festival we were blown away when the show started and a crowd descended on us that was far bigger than the small pavillion we were playing in was designed for. We had a good old-fashioned barn-burner on our hands like a surprise cyclone in the heart of small-town America (in a good way). Among the crowd was Cherry Pie's original drummer Nick Bartolotta and his wife Robbie. It's a rare treat to see them. Despite pleas from several band members, Nick declined the invitation to sit in with us for a song. Overall it was a spectacular night and we were very impressed with Dousman's capacity to party. We'll have to come back sometime. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Linda: "Out of the three day run of Cherry Pie's performances this was the best! As the crowd became energized, so did Cherry Pie. It was as if we were all feeding off of one another's energy. It was incredible.Dousman, you rock!" |
