A Word from Josh: I've lived in Menomonee Falls for seven years and I've attended Falls Fest many times seeing many good bands and I'm so glad to finally play here with Cherry Pie. For several years Thursday night at Falls Fest meant the Eddie Butts Band so you know that the festival has never been shy about investing in their Thursday nights with top notch entertainment. And now Cherry Pie joins that tradition to help get this celebration off to a great start. The stage is in a beer tent set up in a parking lot across the street from North Middle School where my stepson attended and next to tennis courts that I play on regularly. Indeed, we were playing right in my own backyard and it was a blast to see so many friends and neighbors come out for a good time and share in what I and my bandmates like to do so much. The weather could not have been better and the show went pretty smoothly. During "Wild Side" John shot a confetti cannon that sent streamers directly down onto the front-of-house sound and light consoles which struck him very funny, so much so that he had trouble singing the next few lines as our sound guy Matt and light guy Johann scrambled to clear the mess from their equipment. In fact, John was still laughing about it after the show. Rock and roll can be messy... and funny. Thank you to the event staff for enabling such a good time. We've got shows the next two nights and it's great to get the week off to such a good start. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Joanne: "The show was awesome! This was only the third time I've seen you, but this was the best one yet!" Chimmy: "Thanks guys for having me up on stage. You guys rule!" |
