A Word from Josh: Tonight we headed north to Ripon... and then north a little bit more to the tiny rural community of Rush Lake (just west of the lake of the same name). There we found a biker rally set up amid farm fields. Although smaller in scale than most such events in the Milwaukee area, it did contain most of the same elements such as a wide variety of cool biker-related clothing, jewelry and art as well as charitable and tribute organizations. As we set up our equipment on the north end of the beer tent we enjoyed the sounds coming from the Cool Waters Band who were playing some great music on the south end of the tent; a very good band. For us this was a classic "twilight" show with the first set taking place in early evening daylight and the second set after dusk. Not surprisingly each set had a very different personality with a modest crowd largely keeping their distance from the stage early on and a wild mob packing into the tent down the stretch. We reprised our Cherry Pie Plinko which earned a lovely construction attorney from Waukesha named Whitney a free T-shirt. This was our first time at this event and we really appreciate the hospitality from Stephanie and the rest of the event staff. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
