A Word from Josh: This was our last indoor bar gig until October and we couldn't have asked for a better crowd to help launch us into Festival Season. So many storylines going on within the packed house... One of Frankie's friends from high school Lisa Schulist was celebrating her 40th birthday with a ton of friends. Jackie was celebrating her 26th birthday and her victory over breast cancer. I met a couple of country music fans before the show who were checking us out for the first time; I checked in with them later and they were having a great time. Also impressed were Steve Seitz and his committee from Greek Fest who insisted that we play their event on June 19 after only hearing a few songs. Of course we saw a great many familiar faces in the crowd including our former bass player Dann Walters who contributed some spot vocals, dance moves and general goofiness to the show. A lot of people were glad to see him. The show itself went very well and was very well-received. The most notable technical problem was Frankie's weak bladder during the second set which led him to insist that I play drums on Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" while he addressed the situation. I guess it contributed to the variety of a very fun evening. Now we look ahead to a great Summer of festival shows beginning in Stoughton next Saturday and then Dan Jansen Fest the following Saturday. See you there! -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jerrilynn: "Great time but Mo's needs to get rid of some tables for dancing. Gdness !:)" Marlena: "Agree! I love Mo's but really, if you're not there to dance and see the band, Leave!" Sabrina: "Agree! Put more high table in instead, but either way Cherry Pie was awesome!" Lisa: "Great night!!!" |
