A Word from Josh: This was our debut at this venue and we didn't know what to expect. The stage is a permanent structure in a sand-filled beer garden behind the bar which abuts the shore of Lake Koshkonong. The bar, the stage and the beer garden are all a bit small, but the charm of the lay-out is undeniable. We were never really threatened with rain, but wind was an issue all day and night. Still, in typical Pie fashion, we managed to have a really good time. The place filled up with a crowd that knows how to party. This was Shane's third and final show with us and the spirit at the end of the show was bittersweet. Chris Villand, who will be taking over the bass duties full-time later this month, was in attendance and was, quite unbelievably, seeing Shane for the first time ever. Chris acknowledged that he has huge dimples to fill. Playing here was a lot of fun despite having to wash a lot of bugs out of our hair after the show. We appreciate the enthusiasm of the management and are already talking about playing here again next year, perhaps twice. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
