A Word from Josh: Gig number two of three of "Shane Week" and this is a pretty big one. This was our fourth straight year playing this festival including 2011 when Shane was still in the band. A lot of long-time fans in the crowd were glad to see his blindingly white teeth on the stage one more time. However, there were some notable absences among our closest friends because none other than Motley Crue was playing at the nearby Marcus Amphitheater. Still, we managed to hold our own with a great crowd that filled the large tent with rockus enthusiasm. This is one of those "open tent" festivals where hard-core drunken party animals rub elbows (literally) with people of all ages. Hey, what better way for kids to learn about the thrill of rock n'roll? With the weather cooperating, it came as absolutely no surprise to anyone that this was a great night filled with fun and excitement for all as we celebrated the birthday of our great nation. The impressive fireworks display after our show was the perfect way to end a super event. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
