A Word from Josh:
Brat Fest changes a bit every year. This year we ended up playing on a stage that didn't even exist last year. But, as they say, the more things change the more they stay the same. By that I mean that we had another great Brat Fest show with an amazing crowd. It wasn't perfect, Dave had a pretty serious issue with his guitar amp on the first four and a half songs. As a result, I improvised the solo on "Rock You Like a Hurricane" in his absense which was kind of bizarre. Dave's amp kicked in full force mid-way through "Take It on the Run" which triggered an epic roar from the crowd. Hey, it's nice to know so many people are paying attention. From that point the set went really well and the air was full of electricity as the sky grew darker. Our show was supposed to end at 9 pm at which time a fireworks show was scheduled to begin behind our stage. Well, the fireworks started up right on time, but we were still in the middle of our Metallica medley which went on for another 4 minutes or so... Oooops. Hey, you got chocolate in my peanut butter!!... and you got a fireworks display in my Cherry Pie concert. Some things just go great together.     --Josh
