A Word from Josh: For years I've told people that The Shack has one of the best stages to see us play on. It's big and high and has plenty of space for our over-sized production. Well, since our last trip here, the stage has gotten even better!! It's even bigger and rigged with a bunch of metallic girders that makes it look very 80s Metal. It's the perfect stage for The Pie and it felt great to perform on. Another thing that feels good is being a part of the "Shakin' the Shack" cancer benefit and all that goes with it. This was our 8th year headlining this event and, although the turn-out was less than usual, it's always a great time. John was particularly motivated and sang his heart out despite being a bit sick. He even sang the very difficult "I'll Never Let You Go" by Steelheart because he promised that he would during a radio interview earlier in the week. "When I think about what those kids with cancer go through every day" he told the crowd, "I realize that I can't complain and figure the least I can do is sing this song." He sounded great and the crowd was very appreciative of the effort. Always a great time at "Shakin' the Shack" and preparations are already underway for next year. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Julee: "Had fun! Still wondering why John broke the table???? LOL" |
