A Word from Josh:
For the third Saturday in a row we played following a Badger NCAA Tournament game, and of course each time the stakes get higher. This time they played Kentucky for the right to go to the Championship game. That's a pretty big deal and AJ's put out the red carpet to a huge gathering of sports fans to come watch the game. We set up early and joined in the fun. They even provided us with some awesome pizza and wings as we rooted for UW along with a couple hundred other people. Like last week, the game was close and came down to the final seconds. Unlike last week, the Badgers fell short this time by a single point. Bummer. So, it was under this pall of disappointment that we launched into our show. Hey, 80s Rock is fun no matter what the circumstances are. In fact, spirits were lifted early on when, much to our surprise, a man on the dance floor dropped to one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. I believe the ring was on top of a cupcake. We were in the middle of playing the song "Hysteria" and had to look a couple times to make sure were were actually seeing what we were seeing. Yes, that just happened!! After the song John brough the happy couple David and Shari on to the stage to celebrate the moment. That definitely put a more positive spin on the evening as we partied into the night with a pretty strong crowd and paid tribute to a great season for the Badger men. Speaking of a great season, Spring has to be here soon, right? And right behind it will be Summer or, as we call it, Beer Tent Season! And we feel we have the starting line-up to go all the way this year!! -Josh
