A Word from Josh: We played at Fat Joe's for the first time last February. We had a great time, the place was packed with party animals, but a lot of people couldn't even see the band because there was no stage, we just set up on one side of the dance floor. Move forward 11 months and we return to Fat Joe's to find that they now do have a stage, sweeeeeet. So we set up, did our soundcheck and waiting for the Bacchanalian horde to coming busting through the doors... and we waited, and waited, and waited. We played our first set of 2014 to a modest gathering of polite bar patrons. This was not very Pie, not very Pie at all! Hopefully this would not be an omen for the year to come. Well, it turns out that it was not even an omen for the evening to come. By the time we took the stage for our second set the crowd had more than doubled and the really fun stuff was just getting started. Within a few minutes several woman took to the bar tops in a scene right out of "Coyote Ugly" and this gig was officially off the hook! Wow, what a tale of two sets. It took a while for the party vibe to get going but better late than never. Thanks Fat Joe's for another very memorable night. On a sad note, we arrived home after the gig to learn that the Timbuktu Bar in Oshkosh had a major fire. Thankfully nobody was injured but it completely destroyed the banquet hall where we had played just four weeks ago. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gayle, Renee, Chafta and the rest of our friends directly affected by this horrible event. --Josh
