A Word from Josh: We played here for the first time just six weeks ago and they must have liked us to have us back so quickly. As you may recall, our debut at AJ's was marred a bit by a leaky roof near the stage. Tonight, owner Adam Jankowski assured us that the roof was fixed, but still it would have been nice to play here during dry weather for a change. No such luck as it rained outside for much of the evening yet again. Fortunately, the patch job help up and everybody inside enjoyed dry conditions along with a pretty good show from The Pie. A lot of people came to celebrate birthdays, motivated by the bar's drink specials for anyone born in November. John was in a goofy mood as he interacted with the crowd about their birthdays and a variety of other topics. Late in the show he offered a change in the setlist because of the "vibe" he was getting from the crowd. By applause, the audience voted to replace an "epic classic rock song" on the list with something more "metal." The end result was that we played "Run to the Hills" instead of "Come Sail Away." Democracy in action, perhaps Congress could learn a thing or two. Hey, I'm just glad to be in a band that has songs as diverse as those to choose from. Rock on. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Steven C Jensen: "Yes, I celebrated my 40th B-day that night. Great show as always." Laurel Dragonbabe: "I am very happy about that Iron Maiden. Some girls like to rock out you know. I had even more fun than usual." |
