A Word from Josh: Two weeks ago we played at the Marshall Fireman's Festival, a show that ended sadly after only six songs because of heavy rain. Tonight was our chance to make up for that. The good news was that today was a completely clear day with no chance of rain. The bad news was that the wet conditions that led to the disappointment at the Fireman's Festival also led to a bumper crop of insects!! That's why this show will unfortunately be remembered as "Bug Fest." The uncovered stage was set up on the south end of the baseball field behind the bar. It was actually a pretty nice setting on a warm night under a starry sky. We were joined by a nice crowd of rock fans scattered across the green grass. Unfortunately the people were far outnumbered by the aforementioned flying pests that made their presence knows from beginning to end of the show. It was even worse on the stage where the bugs were drawn by the lights. Still, we persevered (we are professionals after all) and had a rockin' good time with a couple hundred of our closest friends. Perhaps we should make T-shirts for them saying "I Survived Bug Fest 2013." We are grateful for the continued support, despite less than ideal conditions. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Sandie: "Fun Thanks for the great time" Ashley: "Had a blast with u guys can't wait to see u at bike night bowlvard" |
