A Word from Josh: Cherry Pie at Rooters has been a grand tradition in recent years and it felt great to renew it for 2013. Quite a few friends from the Madison area made the trip to share the Rooters experience. We had a pretty good show, perhaps a little loose at times, but that's what happens when you're among so many friends. We helped celebrate a great many birthdays tonight including Tammy T, Jane B, Chaz, Taylor T and our very own bass player Dann Walters! Other friends joined us on stage to play a song or two with us. John was still dealing with the effects of last Friday's fall on stage and he continued to poke fun at himself over the incident. We had a great time and would like to thank everybody for getting 2013 off to such a great start in the World of Pie! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Heather: "Had so much fun!!! Thanks for the drum stick!!!! Yay!!!!" Nicole: "Just wanted to say thank you for a great concert...you sent a shout out to my husband and I for our 15 yr wedding anniversary....we had a blast and cant wait to see you guys again!!!" Bittersweeteus: "What an exciting night, lots of birthdays and lots of PIE!! The show started out great and it continued throughout the evening. Each band member was at the top of their game and together put on one awesome, thunderous show! And John, who always looks great and has the best demeanor and charisma, rocked us all throughout the night despite hurting from an injury from a prior show. Now that's what I call being one dedicated rocking man and won't let something like that injury stop him from giving us all one heck of a time! It was great getting out on a somewhat chilly night and enjoying the sights and sounds of CherryPie. I want to wish a Happy Birthday to all that celebrated it that evening and I want to wish John a very Happy Birthday who's birthday is coming up this week. May it be a good one for you, John, and enjoy it to the fullest! Plus I hope you're getting better each and everyday from you injury!" Taylor: "Did an excellent job dealing with the insane amount of birthday celebrations happening all at once it seemed, including mine. Well done, boys." Tim: "Thanks for making my wifes 40th bday a great day/night. You guys kicked ass." #1 fan: "Great crowd! best i've seen in a long while! fun time as always." Big time fans: "First of all, we we not @ this show. I would like to wish John a very happy b-day as well. He got hurt??????? I hope he's okay. Will see you guys like next week. Keep on rockin!" Old Friend: "I am really enjoying the quality of the photos these days on the site but miss also seeing more of the crowd." |
