Hey All, long time since The Trash did a journal entry. Let me start by saying we had an amazing time in Monroe! You were an awesome crowd and we had a fun night in general despite all the things that seemed to happen. In no particular order: To start the night, Dave, Kevin and Myself drove forty minutes to go five minutes. John fell on stage, and ripped two pairs of pants. It’s because he’s so powerful! Josh’s acoustic and electric decided not to work for a bit at different moments in the night. Damn electronics! Let’s see, some overly energetic fans spilled some drinks on Dave’s and Dann’s pedals. Thumb’s down to that, sorry! I was busted and set free by the po po for watering the grass outside, in addition to breaking my snare head at the start of the second set. Also broke a flaming drumstick upon first strike. That’s what happens sometimes being The Trash. End of the night energy had some fans disagreeing with one another. Keep it together people! :) I think that’s it... Kevin and I decided it was the perfect stage! Thanks to Monroe for the hospitality! You guys were great! Definitely hope to be back rocking the house next year. That is all. --The Trash Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: ""We work all day and we don't know why" well there's one thing that money can't buy, and that's, the lasting great feeling you have when you leave a CherryPie show! The way CherryPie pounds out those tunes through their instruments, it brings out the adrenaline and rock inside of us which in turn, molds us into rock'n'roll crazed fans. And John, who has the most intoxicating smile and demeanor, has the right combination of aggressiveness and perseverance to rock all night and keep us all intrigued and rocking out to one awesome 80's classic rock band. This was one unique evening. From the powerful souped up tractors with thick smoke coming from their stacks as they pull that sledge as far as they can, to CherryPie with their own stellar, power driven performance. Yeah, this was one action pact evening!!" Julie: "Thanks again guys for a chance to relive my youth-before my broad mind and narrow waist traded places! Frankie-sorry to hear about your run in with the po-po. I think they were still on the mob mentality power trip from Cheese Days. Speaking of Cheese Days- too bad you guys weren't rocking the downtown that weekend! It was quite the mosh pit down front-and I thought the rowdy Badger fans that came after the game to the Cow Chip Festival were wild! Dann & Dave-sorry about your equipment getting beer spilled on it. I guess next time you will have to cover your equipment in plastic like they do at sports games?! John, since you are from Blanchardville and have blonde hair and blue eyes, does that mean that you are Norvegian too? I loved the leaf blower trick-that gives me an idea for Halloweeen! P.S. You could've used some of the duct tape on your leaf blower to fix your pants-ha ha!" CP fans: "Cold night, but a fun one. You guys know how to rock! See you real soon." Leslie: "GREAT show! Was happy to be part of getting you guys here @ Fall Nationals. Wouldn't be Fall Nationals if everyone got along! The sound was great even in the building- many of us don't remember anything after your show- think that was caused by the beer. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR BEING PART OF THE 2012 GREEN COUNTY FALL NATIONALS!!! See you guys around in Madison. Also sorry for all the bad luck :(" |
