A Word from Josh:
We're delighted to participate in this mid-week summer series for the seventh straight year. This time we were up first in the rotation and we couldn't have asked for better weather. A sizeable crowd amassed in and around the Budweiser Pavilion for the festivities. The early start on a weeknight and family-oriented nature of the event means an energy level that is not exactly off the charts, but a Pie show is still a Pie show and we thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant vibe of the occasion. Things got a bit more intense in the second set after the sun went down, but it was still a Wednesday night. We stirred things up a bit with a guest vocal appearance from Eddie Martinez which is always fun. Our show was done by 10:30 and afterwards both Eddie and I ended up over at the Whammy Bar where we participated in Michael Sean's open jam. The energy carried over from the Bud Pavilion and we all had a great time. The Wednesday Night Live series continues throughout most of the summer with many fine bands. For the complete schedule go to www.budpavilion.com. We'll be back on this stage twice during the State Fair on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 11. We're very much looking forward to that.     --Josh
