A Word from Josh: There is no doubt that the Brat Stop is one of the best venues around with it's large stage, multi-faceted vantage points and location right off the freeway between Milwaukee and Chicago. We've had some great times here over the years but have never really been able to establish it as a part of our regular circuit. This was our first time here in over two years and we were excited to be back which contributed to a sense of anticipation around the show. Indeed, we were very happy to see many of our Illinois friends who had been complaining about a lack of Pie in their lives as of late. Of course many people from Kenosha and Racine were glad to finally have us playing in their own back yard again including my friends Shelley and George who hosted a party at their house before the show and then brought dozens of friends to the Brat Stop where they whooped it up in the balcony all night. It was all part of a fun night of music on an electric Good Friday. Hopefully we'll be back here again before too long. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "What a crazy weekend. To start it off, CherryPie performed at a venue, Brat Stop, that they haven't played at for two years. The crowd wasn't huge, but who were there seem to have a great time. CherryPie put on a fantastic show that was entertaining and full of songs to appease everyone. And John, who seemed to have somewhat of a good time while looking good as always, lead us all back to "those crazy nights I do remember in my youth". I really enjoyed this evening as it was just a night of fun and seeing acquaintances I haven't seen in awhile." Mari and Debbie: "Great to see you all again. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter. Favorite songs of the night, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Shakin and Motley Crue. Hope to see you in June." |
