A Word from Josh:
The "Prom Night" theme of tonight's show was a pretty cool idea. It was the brainchild of our own Franklin B Trash. He and Kevin arrived early to put up the decorations. Bar manager Bill also put a lot of effort into turning Rooters into a fantasy-land of teenage pageantry. Nostalgia was the order of the day (even more than usual) and this meant different things to different people. Some attendees I spoke to enjoyed revisiting the excitement and joy they felt at their actual proms. But many had not attended their prom or had not had a good experience with it. For them, this was not about rekindling memories, but creating them; about reclaiming a glory of youth that perhaps never was. It seems that proms, like youth, are wasted on the young. Well, at least for one night, that was not the case. People arrived in various prom dresses and tuxes, a photographer took couples' photos, we picked a King and Queen, we dropped balloons from the ceiling and there was even a rumor that some of the cocktails at the bar were spiked with punch. We had a lot of fun with it. So now the question is, should we do this again sometime? Let us know what you think.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Teresa:
"lol ... you all looked so lovely all prom-ed up :-) .. see you for the next one ... x"

Molly:
"great concert... loved how you guys were promed up! :) see you guys at the next one. :)"

Kelly:
"WooHoo! This was my first prom and it was like totally awesome! :) Thanks for a great show Cherry Pie! Love, the Prom Queen of the night - haha"

on the sidelines..:
"Josh... in an answer, No... don't do it again. The thought of probably needing to dress up, in order to participate, may have detured the folks from wanting to come see you guys, and join in. We always have fun with you guys, but prom flashbacks aren't needed, in order to relive the 80's (which totally rocked!) The masses need to speak... suggestions?"

Bittersweeteus:
"CherryPie tried to bring back prom night for a few of us fans which to some, prom night was a night to remember and to others, just another night for them. To me, prom night, which I didn't go to, was a night where I hung out with friends doing what what we wanted not what was planned for us. CherryPie was the entertainment for this gala and they did a pretty good job. And John, whom gets more impressive and is always entertaining to watch, carried us throughout the evening. And to me, the second set was the best because as John put it, "Now this is CherryPie". This will be a unforgettable show for me not due to the activities in the first set, but due to the fact that CherryPie lead us through an era of rock'n'roll which we all enjoyed and loved and plus, we can still rock to those 80's songs without any boundaries. As for doing the prom again, from what comments I heard throughout the night and my personal feelings, no to it. CherryPie is about rock and when you take away from that you take away from what CherryPie is and will always be about, and that's ROCK!!!"
