A Word from Josh: We enjoyed our trip to Beaver Dam last year and we're glad that they wanted us to return. This time, however, we stipulated in our contract that there be no rainstorm. The fine people at Lake Days obliged with an optimal day for a festival. I arrived early (or the other guys arrived late, depending how you look at it) and enjoyed strolling around the grounds taking in the Lake Days charm. I particularly enjoyed listening to 33 RPM, a Milwaukee band playing some great classic rock in a pavilion near the main stage. They finished up at about 8 pm and we started up about 20 minutes later. The festival was well-attended all day and as evening fell additional throngs arrived making for a great setting for a Cherry Pie rock show. A full-scale fireworks display took place over the lake during our break after which some of those throngs began heading home. We quickly retook the stage and enticed a majority of the crowd to stay and rock with us. It was a good show and a lot of different people expressed their appreciation in a variety of ways. After we finished packing up I dropped by the nearby Up & Down Pub where I got some rock star attention from the locals. It was great fun and we hope to do it again next year. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Sheri: "you guys were great. my 9 year old son loved ya. he was excited when he got to shake hands with josh and got to talk to him after the show" Dawn: "As usual -- YOU ROCKED!" Lena: "Glad to have experienced another good piece of the ''Pie''! Thanks to a great performance!Y ou guys rock!" Bob: "It was great seeing cherry pie again!" Bittersweeteus: "Amongst the hustling of the crowd at this small festival you'll find a beautiful lake. Where you can sit and look across the water and the serenity of it mentally takes you away from it all. Another great way to escape from it all, is, to watch and enjoy the entertainment of CherryPie. They will take you to another part of your life, if you grew up in the 80's, that was carefree. And John, who's so full of life and playfulness, will make that trip back to the 80's fun and exciting. I had a great time watching these guys put their best out there and keep everyone rocking and having a blast. Plus, I think it's fantastic that these guys include the children in the fun because they are our future rockers." Amanda: "You guys rocked as always! Love you guys!" PIE FANS: "Was a great show, gets better each time. You guys know how to gave a good time, and are so talented. Until the next time-Keep Rockin!" |
