A Word from Josh: I moved to Madison in 1985 and spent a lot of time downtown those first few years. Early today I brought members of my family back to downtown Madison for some sight-seeing. It was a bizarre sense of being a tourist in my own city. It was in that role that I could see the charm that the city still has. Our walking tour took us to the Capital building, two museums, some shops on State Street and the Monona Terrace before we drove down to the Badger Bowl for dinner. Our equipment arrived and we began assembling our massive show. I was back in my present-day element. It's Friday night and we've got a show to do. I've been doing this a lot of years and I still get buzzed by the pre-show anticipation. With all the hype we've been giving to tomorrow night's "Anniversary Show" tonight's show got relegated to being that "other gig" on Easter weekend. But Madison has always been good to Cherry Pie and tonight was no different as we drew another strong crowd, despite being Good Friday. They weren't going to let us phone it in. So, we rocked the place. I think we rocked it pretty darn good. That's what we do. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Angelically Wild: "Friday nights show was a great way to get yourself ready for the 10th anniversary show! These guys definitely rocked all night and had you wore out by the end of the show! Everybody had their own taste of fun that night from the crowd all the way down to the guys in the band. I even had my share of fun from the cherry bombs ;) all the way down to singing jump! That was awesome! Not one of the guys missed a beat, you could tell they were ready for the big night! You guys definitely had me ready for rooters! Keep on rocking!" Fan: "You guys always put on a good show! Never disappointing. You bring a lot of style to Badger Bowl and glad you choose that venue to perform. Never ending fun and great music to play over and over again." Bittersweeteus: "Once the band hit the stage, they were full of high spirits and their performance was out of this world. And John, who has the most enticing charisma and the greatest smile, was full of spunk and high on life as he worked the crowd and showed everyone a great time. This was one exhilerting show from the bands performance, John getting everyone involved by going out into the crowd, and watching you guys really enjoying what you do best. Like you say, "Rocking is our business and business is good" and what I see and experience it's Damn Good!!" Cherry pie fans: "Awesome show guys! Loads of talent and so much fun to watch! The music gets better and better as time goes by. Had a blast-keep on rockin!" |
