A Word from Josh: There were a couple of special things about this show. Most notably, it was our 500th show as Cherry Pie, a numerical milestone that seems as incomprehensible as it is arbitrary. Yet, there it is... Anyway, midnight marked the arrival of Frankie's birthday, another numerical milestone used as a handy excuse to party hard (as if we needed an excuse). Birthday balloons decorated the stage along with some new hardware, including a new confetti cannon and themed trash cans for the drum riser. All that being said, it's too bad that the show itself was not particularly memorable. Sure, it had its moments, but the size of the crowd was somewhat less than hoped for, and many of those in attendance didn't really get there groove on until the second set. But, you know, if you put on 500 shows they can't all be barn-burners (or can they?). We would like send a shout out to Cassie, who turned 21 at midnight and was on hand to celebrate with us, and to Paul Adamec, the mechanical genius behind John's new confetti cannon as well as my rotating keyboard stand. So what's next for a band that has played 500 shows? Well, show number 501 of course. Rock On! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it?
