A Word from Fankie: Remember Uncle John, we all love you, but nobody rocks harder than Frankie! Let me go on record right now and say that I think John has an awesome family. They always speak the true, and from the heart. So Serbian Days huh?! It’s tradition for us. The natural energy of the ball is in the hole. Why don’t you send him home. Speaking of energy... There was definitely an energy in the air! Along with a thickness… And a mist… It was brisk. Burrrr! Sure it may have started a little slow, you know... crowd wise, but not many people are used to Cherry Pie rocking so dang early. Rock & Roll shows should never start until the sun retires for the day, and the moon fills the sky with his darkest. Where does one begin? There were many things that capped off the night... Like drum sticks flying through the air, plummeting to their dead. And signs that spoke the truth about a super man who rocks like no other. Old friends reuniting to rock one more time about a legendary Wanted Man. And lets not forget about the confetti. Oh confetti how we love you so. Confetti you are very pretty. Pretty like a pearl necklace. And what lovely lady wouldn’t want a pearl necklace? Switching gears... I remember accidentally dropping my cell phone in my beer. It’s not working so well now. I think it’s drunk! DAR!!! (Thanks for the lame joke Spandex!) This was our second to last our door gig of 2009, and then it’s back to the bars. So festival season, we will meet one more time next week, but after that we must say goodbye for a while. And like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. Just like every night has its dawn. Just like every cowboy sings a sad, sad song. As the seasons change, so do we. Our clothing gets thicker, our energy bills start to increase, we add raking to our yard chores, we start wondering when that first snowfall will arrive, and I get to fall asleep in the passenger's seat while Dave drives us home. Really though people... It was a great show! Awesome, enthusiastic crowd, tons o fun, with a Cherry on top. I love it! Thanks to everyone who came out, and to the peeps who continue to bring us back! --This is The Trash securing Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Colleen: "This past year and a half working for you guys has been a friggin' blast and then some. Thanks to everyone Dave, Josh, Shane, Frankie, John, and the entire Cherry Pie family, it's been a lot of fun. I will be at a show in the not so distant future. When, I'm not sure yet. Knowing me, I won't stay away for too long, gotta feed the addiction eventually. :D" zeljan: "That was phenomenal, nothing less. Unfortunately, I only see a few Pie shows a year, and I'm certainly glad I didn't miss this one. I'll see you guys again soon." Bittersweeteus: "As I woke up that morning and the sun was gone, I sat, closed my eyes and drifted away and wondered what kind of night it will be under the tent being entertained by CherryPie. As the time arrived for me to venture out into the cold dreary day, I was in great anticipation to get to my destination. After I arrived at my destination, CherryPie took the stage and began to entice us with their musical vibrations. As they performed each song perfectly, it brought us back to an era that was carefree and fun. And John, with his manly wiles and sexy magnetism, kept everyone, young and old, intrigued and plus made each and everyone of us feel important to be there participating and rocking out with an awesome 80's coverband. Even though the years have gone by and times have changed, CherryPie has been constant with their musical talents and fun-filled entertainment. And, to me, these guys have gotten better with time and now are more unified than ever with each band member contributing their fantastic talents to form a popular 80's coverband that we all know and love as CherryPie!" amanda: "It was beyond amazing! you guys rock my socks & flip my flops! ha. DEFINITELY be seeing you soon. \m/" |
