A Word from Josh:
Spring is here and the PIE NATION was bringing the heat into Rooters. We were glad to be greeted by our best Rooters crowd in quite some time. I really appreciated the birthday cards, balloons and kisses I received from many friends. I am now excactly twice the legal drinking age so I figured I was doubly-legal, for whatever that's worth. Maybe I should get a "Get out of jail free card." It turned out that I was far from the only person celebrating a birthday tonight and that made the atmosphere that much more festive. We enjoyed playing the latest additions to our setlist to a Milwaukee-area crowd for the first time. I encourage anybody who attended this show to respond to our survey about the new tunes. One unique thing that is fun about Rooters is how the stage can be completely surrounded by spectators. This does have a down-side however as we must deal with some very inebriated patrons getting very close to our treasured instruments and electrical equipment. Let me make this clear once and for all... Any drinks placed on guitar amps or other band equipment shall be immediately discarded (or more likely consumed by the rhythm section). Anyway, I gotta say, we've had a great 2009 so far with a lot of really good shows; but this may have been the best one yet (knock on wood). Thank you to everybody came out for nothin' but a good time.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Jennie:
"Thanks for my Pie fix!"

Kelly:
"O'my god you guys !! I haven't seen you in a while and you guys are still my favorate band. You guys are as good if not better then the actual bands who sing those songs. Your new drummer is fantastic and completes your band. It was my best B-day in a long time. Stay strong and keep rockin !! Your the best !!"

GGG:
"More Poison!!!!!!!!!"

Shannypooh:
"This was my first Cherry Pie show and it was AWESOME!! I look forward to many many more!"

Bittersweeteus:
"You can tell there's a "Wind of Change" upon us by the way the days are getting longer and warmer. And people are coming out of their winter hybernation to enjoy what the world has to offer them. This was evident at Rooter's as it was packed with all kinds of fans, the hard rockers and the mellow rockers. But we all had one thing in common, and that's, to release the inhibitions we've kept dormant all winter. Who better to release them is CherryPie. With the way they put on one hell of a show, they can bring out the most stubborn inhibition in us. And John, who looked downright gorgeous in the attire he wore for the second set because it accentuated his physique and looks, pulled out all the stops so no one had an excuse not to have a great time. It felt great to enjoy the changing of the seasons with a band, CherryPie, that has a reputation for playing thunderous, heavy metal music. And John, love the way you sing "No One Like You"! The way you emphasize the word "You" at the end of the song- Love it!!"

fan:
"Great crowd!! Great music! Love the new songs.. More Motley Crue... Love ya guys"

Like a ninja:
"It's been a long time, but I was close enough to snip the bindings on john's pants. Jen, where's the scissors?"

peggy:
"The band was so smooth I didn't realize there were new songs - no boo boos I did see Shane's cheat sheets; I didn't think he could see that far being so ....old- 43.3? great job. Less soft rock more head banging."
