A Word from Josh:
The Brat Stop is a great room. The last time we played here I lamented on how we'd like to play here more often. Well, some dreams do come true as we were quickly booked for two return visits. Actually, I think that's a no-brainer considering how many friends we have in the area, including many from just across the border in Illinois. And our friends were out in full force providing a great crowd which really got us going. We made good use of the spacious stage in what I thought was a rather spirited performance. The Brat Stop doesn't seem to mind us making a mess so John was in super-mega-confetti-shooting-water-spraying mode. And why not? Today was his birthday, an occasion that he has been more willing to acknowledge in recent years as he mellows in his old age. Oh, what the Hell am I talking about? There's nothing mellow about John. So anyway, the music was tight (well, some of it) and the fun was sloppy, just how you like it. At the height of the excitement some guy bribed us to let his friend Joe, who was also celebrating a birthday, come up on stage and sing "Wanted Dead or Alive" with us. Well, I don't think he'll win American Idol anytime soon, but he certainly knew the song and his wide-eyed, folksy, blue-collar charm (he sang the entire song with John's microphone in one hand and a beer in the other) was infectious with the crowd. It was like live rock-star Karaoke and he was enjoying every moment of it. I tell you, watching his excitement was enough to make me better appreciate the fact that we get to do this on a regular basis. And, overall, this night was plenty to make us look forward to our next trip to the Brat Stop in April.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Pamela:
"Very Good Show! Had a Great Time! Also Happy Birthday to John!"

Jennie:
"Hmmmm...guilty pleasures. All my Pie guys, throw in their hot ladies, lots of booze, forget I am married....ok add Rick Springfield too! Nothin' but a Good Time! ;-"

Jennie:
"How crazy was the nite! Wild moods, slight mishaps, laughs, drinks! Don't forget the drinks! Happy Bday John & Joe! I was still finding confetti the next day! Rock on!"

cindy:
"Great show guys! It was good to see everyone again. It's been a while since we've been to a show and as always you guys just keep getting beter and better! Hope ya had a happy birthday Johnny! See you guys soon!"

Laura B:
"Happy Birthday John!! I missed you guys so much, the last time I saw you was in September here for my Birthday! As always you put on a "scorching" show!! I did however find lots of confetti in my bra that night, thanks John! LOL :x missed you guys, see you soon!"

Bittersweeteus:
"It's something how these CherryPie guys can put on a phenominal show no matter what venue they are at. They can pack the venues with fans that enjoy watching these CP guys put on a performance that is filled with hard core rock songs, antics, and high-spirited fun. Plus it helps to have a strong frontman, John, who knows how to appease any kind of fan by singing the rock songs that each fan can relive from the 80's era. CherryPie put on two shows back-to-back that had their own unique style and where everyone was guaranteed, "Nothing But a Good Time"!"

Sandy:
"I would love to say thanks for the great show you put on. it made my birthday one of the best ever. There isn't any greater guys out there that can do all the trivia music t all the great bands as all of you. John has a gifted voice just to be able to sing all those songs and nail them. josh, well he is so very tall. I think his mom fed him lots of Wheaties growing up. He has a good time and smiles. As for the rest of the band they all can harmonize and just keep everything going. you guys are great. Keep on rockin. See you in April at The Brat Stop."

Mari & Debbie:
"Being with good friends and good music keeps the troubles and the cold away. Favorites songs of the night Oh Leah, Unchained and anytime you play Skid Row. Happy to see you all. Hope to see you soon."

Howard:
"What a party that turned in to! Last time there, in September, was a bit quiet, due to the wet crappy weather. This time, balmy (well, 20) weather made for a great night. It seemed like everyone was in a great mood and ready to party. Saw lots of friends I hadn't seen all winter, and even ran in to a friend I hadn't seen in 25 (!!) years-A wonderful birthday celebration for John, and a great time! The beer was cold, the chicks were hot, and the band was in rare form. Thanks everyone, see ya soon!"

Brenda:
"Great show, had a great time. It just goes to show we are never to old to rock-n-roll."

Debbie and Gary:
"Thanks for a great time. It was the first time that my co worker Brenda had seen your show. She had a great time and wants to see you guys again. Thanks for making her feel welcome. She is the one that you let play the tamborine. That ment alot to her. Also thanks for the picture of us together. Plan to see you guys soon. xoxox"
