A Word from Josh: Tonight's big storyline was the weather. Snowfall over the last 36 hours made driving more exciting than usual. We appreciate all of the people who risked their lives to party with The Pie. Their reward was a pretty good show, punctuated by Holiday-themed stage. Our reward was a plethora of sexy ladies, many of whom choosing to strut their stuff on stage with us at various times throughout the night. At one point late in the evening Frankie put an accent on the festivities by officially invited every woman in the bar to join us on the stage for "You Shook Me All Night Long." Dozens took him up on the invitation and the stage was packed with babes dancing and singing. Even more silliness ensued later on when we came back on to the stage for an encore. Frankie grabbed John's mic and expressed an interest in singing. Shane promptly jumped behind the drums and John picked up a bass. The three of them jammed some speed metal riffs to the amusement of onlookers before returning to their traditional instruments. At the end of the hot night we were greeted by two more inches of fresh snow on our cars. Please, everybody have a safe and happy Christmas! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "It was well worth the long challenging trek to my destination, Bub's. Once inside this Irish pub, my eyes lay upon a stage that was expertly decorated with christmas lights and decorations. For the patrons that braved the winter battle that nature brought upon them, CherryPie greeted them with their warmth and electrifying performance. Each set that these Cp guys performed, began with an awesome christmas prelude song which than led into well chosen classic rock songs. And John, who looked exceptionally gorgeous in his attire and possessed that fun-loving spirit, tried to keep everyone in that rock'n'roll spirit even though, in the first set, he had to go out and bribe some of the patrons with a song to come out on the dance floor because they didn't have the intiative to do it on their own. Which I'll never understand why some people come to a show and just stand there or sit during the performance of an awesome band. Despite all that, it turned out to be one fantastic show! I hope everyone left with the spirit of Christmas and that they receive that special gift that they've been hoping for all year long. As for me, the special gift that I've been waiting for is?! And by the way, a Merry Christmas to all and may everyone enjoy this beautiful "Winter Wonderland"!" BJ: "A possibly impaired Pie fan hit and ran my suburban in the parking lot. GooooosFraaaaabaaaa! Still came in and rocked! How I will never forget the white, long sweatered, "Pant-less" beauty on stage. Almost made me forget about the music! Good times!" |
