A Word from Frankie: Madison + Cherry Pie = Rock’n F’N Roll! I have a PHD in rocking, so I say this with confidence. I have a master’s degree in sexy time. Two minutes in heaven is better than one minute in heaven. Yeah baby! I have a bachelor’s in bitching (Josh can vouch for this), and an associate’s degree in annoyance (Our stage tech Colleen will be the first to concur). SO this was our second show in mad town in two weeks, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The Badger Bowl is one of our favorite rooms to play. It’s always jumping, and all of our Madison friends continue to show their loyal support for Milwaukee’s best tribute to 80’s big hair. Thank you! That being said... The crowd was crackling with energy. There seemed to be a plethora of professional beer drinkers in attendance?! I’m always good for one big word. Speaking of big... Johnny "Should’ve been gone, knowing how I made you feel" Spandex has some seriously big muscles?! Yes, conversation with him is like mindless dribble, but he is big! Small brain, but big. Hercules! Hercules! Umm... There seemed to be just as many professional beer spillers in the house. What gives?! BOO! I made this diagnosis at the end of the night when I was packing up. Lots of puddles people. **Tip of the day** Alcohol has a bigger, and definitely much better effect when consumed by mouth. FACT?! I think so! All in all it was a great night. Can’t wait to do it again! Oh yeah babe, do it again! HA! :) This is The Trash securing! Driver out! Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "This particular venue seems to have it's own ambiance and appeal to it. And to add to it, is CherryPie. As they start to perform, they some how bring you into a fantasy world of 80's rock. You're overcome by their energy, that you can't seem to get yourself out of it. And John, who's sharp-witted, domineering, and one gorgeous man, kept the fans intrigued until the end of the show. I know I've said this time and time before, but it's true, it's always a thrill to watch these fun-loving guys because they know how to rock our world. Plus it helps to have a frontman that's not vain and is so down-to-earth." CP fan: "That's true about Johnny - he is very down to earth and alot of front men aren't so its nice for a change. And his beautiful wife is too she is so nice! No wonder they've been together forever they are both awesome people! But I must say this entire band is a great bunch of guys.Very entertaining and nice to the fans. keep rockin our world CHERRY PIE!" Jennie: "Great show." Mystery Guest # 1: "Fantastic performance on Saturday! It was a great night to get nice and "close" to bunches of strangers, fellow CP regulars, and the BAND. I agree with the previous comments, John is a great guy, an amazing front man, but lest we forget there are 4 others on stage with him each night that also have a special "gift" of their own. I think that the fantastic "entourage" ( stage crew, lighting, and sound guys, AND wardrobe/hairdresser..) make sure that each show has something special to offer, something memorable to share.. and keeps us coming back for more. Great job picking those confetti colors Jaz! See you this weekend!!" |
