A Word from Josh: We have no idea why this small charity event was scheduled to take place simultaneously with the biggest biker rally in five years less than six miles away. But I suppose it's pointless to question the judgment of a company with the word "Insane" in their name. As it was, we were grateful for the sparse crowd that joined us in the small tent set up next to the Insane Choppers store. Still, this was by far the smallest turn-out we've had for a public performance all summer. Very disappointing when we're trying to help raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Of course we did our best to make the best of the situation having some fun with the intimate setting and the event organizers seemed pretty pleased overall. Still, we couldn't help but wonder what might have been with some better planning. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Thomas: "Awesome show for a great cause, you guys rocked. Even though i didn't see that much due to working with my sister at the t-shirt booth. Thanks for hanging out with my family for some of the break as the long raffle was happening. Great Show" Bittersweeteus: "It's always a pleasure to watch CherryPie entertain. And what makes them enjoyable to watch is when they are themselves and are free to have an awesome time which sometimes involves the fans. Their performance was superior and intense. And John, who has a fabulous sense of humour, is simply irresistible, and totally intoxicating, made everyone feel like they were the lucky ones that stayed until the end of the show. It's a shame that this show fell upon the night of many events, but let's not forget why we were there, and that's to help support a much needed foundation that makes wishes come true for children so they can experience joy as they face the health battles they have to throughout their young lives." Melisa: "You guys play so well - in every setting! :p" Debbie & Gary: "Even tho the accommodations were not to good, You made the best of things. We enjoyed rocking out with you. It was really different in a small tent and no one would stand up in front party like all the other shows. Not a lot of friends were there. But hey the main ones were there lol. Really like the new shoes that you received from a friend that night. Enjoyed watching Shane dance, you really know how to move them hips. Enjoyed how the group got in the crowd and made them apart of the show. Over all that happened that night you seemed to enjoy yourselves, just as we did. Looking forward to the show this Sat. at the Brat Stop. Ready to party and have a great time. Hope a lot of the gang will be there. XOXOXO" |
