A Word from Josh:
It's been almost six months since our last trip to Illinois and it seems the world has turned upside down since then. Back on July 21 the Chicago Bears were the proud reigning NFC champions and the Green Bay Packers were wondering if they would be able to improve on a mediocre season with a 90-year-old quarterback. Now, of course, the Packers are on top of the world and the Bears suck donkey balls. Such was the reality surrounding this latest venture south of the border. Some aspects of this show were pretty sweet. Mainly that there was a large "built-in" (and predominantly female) crowd courtesy of a Male Dance Review taking place early in the evening in another part of the building. On the other hand, bizarre house rules regarding the house sound and lights compromised our show causing frustration on stage all night. But that did not stop hundreds of people from enjoying what we had to offer and rocking the night away with us. Our solid Illinois fan base was well-represented but, of course, most of the faces in the crowd were new to us. It was really cool during the break to stand behind the stage and meet dozens of new fans commenting on the show. Hopefully many of them will come see us again next month when we will be doing a very special benefit show in the "big room" at 115 Bourbon Street. On that stage we should be able to pull out all the stops and give everybody the full PIE effect. We are totally looking forward to it.     --Josh

Bittersweeteus:
"Getting to Bourbon Street was a challenge because of driving in the Illionis traffic and then, once arriving, was faced with uncouth attitudes. But this won't, and never will, stop me from going and having a great time at a CherryPie show. Once on stage, the CP guys presented the crowd with a great repertoire. Their perfomance was astounding and pure rock'n'roll. And John, who using the strong will he has within, was intriguing to watch and gave a performance of a lifetime. The show was great and worth the long trek to Illinois."

Laura:
