A Word from Josh: This was certainly different. As a bar, McCoy's looks very typical of many we've played, probably nicer than most. However, this bar happens to be on a restricted military base. A few days before the show we were reminded that the facility is not open to the general public, so we could not encourage people to attend like we normally do. We set up on a narrow concrete stage in a very nice outdoor courtyard. We soon found out that the primary reason for this show involved a small party for volunteers who had worked hard last week to put on two major concerts on the base featuring acts like Vince Neil, Firehouse, Steve Miller and Cheap Trick. We were invited to take part in the food and drink involved with this party. Aside from that, a few other people filtered in through the course of the night, but I don't think we ever had more than a hundred or so people at any one time. We were very well received, but all of these people were seeing us for the first time and the excitement level never really got past a certain point. We appreciated the high level of hospitality shown to us and we love the idea of entertaining the men and women of our armed forces who we hold is such high regard. Now that the folks at Fort McCoy have seen first hand what we have to offer, perhaps we can come back and, with proper organization and promotion, put on a big show for our heroes in uniform. --Josh Were you at this show?
