A Word from Josh:
This county fair has a lot going for it. Our show took place at the appropriately named "Centre Stage" (check out the fancy French spelling) with animal exhibits to one side and amusement rides to the other. In addition there was a good old fashioned demolition derby going on at the main grandstand. Rain came and went all day, but never enough to ruin the fun. There were plenty of exciting sights and sounds to be had along with the smells of food, fuel and sheep droppings. The atmosphere was perfect for a summer festival in Wisconsin. We were glad to add our shtick to the festivities. We enjoyed the large stage with a high awning which allowed us to use our full light show. The crowd was a lot of fun and really seemed to enjoy our show despite all of John's sheep jokes. It was just one of those nights where it was so easy to be in a good mood. At the end of the show we threw the crowd a bit of a curveball during the encore. Dave and I began with our usual guitar duel. But then we went into "Don't Stop Believing" which prompted the crowd to go completely nuts (because they were only partially nuts up to that point). It was a fun moment. We hope to do it all again next year.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Heather:
"You guys RAWKED hard! Thanks for the FANTABULOUS evening!"

Bittersweeteus:
"There's nothing like taking a dreary day and turning it into a night of amusement and good times. And the one's to take credit for doing this, is, CherryPie. With the way they charged up the patrons you could just see the heat waves rising up and it was like it dried up the rain. John, who, no matter what he wears before or during the show, looks sexy and gorgeous in it and also has the greatest fun-loving disposition, was able with his performance, make it appear as though "Heaven's on Fire". I never had so much fun and "All I Want" is to never stop feeling the way I do when I leave the show."

Richard:
"You guys sure made it worth the trip out to the fair from Madison– over 4 hours of rockin’ from sound check to final encore! A great selection of favorites, too. Thanks for bringing back “All I Want.” I was at a Saigon Kick show in ‘92 while my friends went to see Pearl Jam – so it goes. I was pleasantly surprised by “Foreplay/Long Time.” Great job on that one. Kudos to Frankie for the flaming sticks – very cool effect. Solid playing all the way around. I brought a friend for her first CP show. She had a blast and you’ll see her at more shows for sure. Added bonus: Going on some rides during the set break. That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll(er coaster)!"
