There's certainly nothing unusual about Cherry Pie playing at the Badger Bowl. We've done it 45 times before. But it is a bit odd to be playing here this time of year and even more strange to be playing here on a Tuesday night. But, the powers that be at the Bowl figured that many people don't have to work tomorrow and so decided to take a chance by inviting us play on this occasion. Indeed, we did draw a very respectable crowd of almost 300. But, things just weren't as intense as usual. Still, a PIE show will always be better than a sharp stick in the eye and there was plenty of fun to go around. We are in the middle of a very busy week which includes six shows in nine days. And I think we are all excited about tomorrow's big Holiday. Just chalk this up as another pleasant stop in the long journey of Rock N'Roll.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Cee Cee:
"It was very strange to be at a mid-week show... but you guys ROCKED the stage thoroughly... Thank you for the party! We, as always, had a blast. Good luck with your busy schedule the rest of the week... Maybe we'll see ya at Ripon! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!"

Randy:
"So glad we made the trip up from IL on a rainy Tuesday to see you guys for the first time. Now we just gotta get you to play down here at Chubby Rain House of Tunes!"

Bittersweeteus:
"I'm not sure what was behind the reason that put sort of a strain on the show, but it was evident it was something. Maybe it was that it was on a Tuesday at Badger Bowl, or maybe, it was because there wasn't a huge turn out, but no matter what it was, it sure had an effect on the outcome of the show. None the less, the guys put on a great performance and John, who was well worth watching, made it through the show with great zeal. Even though the show went kind of fast, it was well worth coming out on the eve of the 4th of July!"
