A Word from Josh: For the last three years I think we've been developing something pretty extraordinary with the small town of Theresa, WI. It has become somewhat like a special secret between us. For a third consecutive summer their modest picnic in the park has rocked with the full intensity of the PIE! And for a third consecutive summer we've enjoyed the rural hospitality of some of the nicest people we've ever met. To us, Theresa has come to represent a more pure and pleasant place and time based on a love for music and a solid foundation of mutual respect. To drive up here and play is to leave behind, just for one night, the big city rat race and the political BS that sometimes goes with the territory. We take the stage, we rock, they rock, they fill us with burgers, fries & assorted beverages and tell us "See you next year." End of story. If only all of life was so pure of purpose. The crowd was great, as we've come to expect when we play here. For some, it seems that this may be the most excitement they get all year. That helps add to the feel of this being a special event that we are honored to be a part of. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jeanie: "Great show you guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Bittersweeteus: "Who could ask for a better day, the sun shining and a cool breeze which, is a change from the last two summers when CherryPie played and it rained. The evening warmed up quickly inside the pavillion with the heat intensified performance of CherryPie. John, who utilizes every inch of the front of the stage, kept everyone's attention and rockn' with the band and was also able to take everyone "High Enough" to where you felt you were in a rock'n'roll fantasy. It was quite an impressive night. Never a let down with these guys awesome performance." Donavan & Becky: "Wow, guys! You really rocked that place! I think the crowd was louder than you guys! It was crazy, but it was alot of fun! The set list was great, and you guys were in great form! Cool to see you all and talk to you all again, and we are looking forward to seeing you all again! The newer songs were a great addition, keep them coming! Rock On!!!" Kris: "A quick word of "Thanks" from the Lodi girls for the great entertainment- both on and off the stage! Shane and Johnny- if this whole BAND thing doesn't work out for you- you can always turn to the HeeHaw-like comedy you displayed behind the bar... make sure you need to "go down to the cellar" at some point during the "act"! Shane- we hope you're enjoying your beads.. you definitely earned them! It's memories like this that will keep us driving back to Theresa every year!!" Misty: "Well, it seems that I should finally post a comment in representation of the tres amigas de Lodi... Co Co you chicken! Ha! As always the show was amazing. We really enjoyed the "Hee Haw" (Johnny and Shane)... Howdy! So glad to have made the trip up to Theresa for the third year in a row! Great to see the band rock in a small town atmosphere. Can't wait for Badger Bowl Pre-Independence Day Show! See ya'll then." |
