A Word from Josh: Appleton has never been a place that we considered to be "home turf" for Cherry Pie, despite the fact that a couple of us have strong connections to this city. But, with a second extremely successful show at Mill Creek, that attitude may be changing. The place was packed and the atmosphere was electric, much like our memorable debut here back in March. The hospitality of the staff was second-to-none and the awesome crowd, largely made up of unfamiliar faces, sang their asses off all night and really showed us a good time. This bar has really established a reputation for keeping the 80s alive with their music videos and promotions. So, it wasn't surprising that even lesser-known songs in our show such as "We All Die Young" and "All Lips N'Hips" went over particularly well. We really seem to be on to something good here in Appleton and look forward to returning again soon. HAPPY THANKSGIVING everybody!!! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "I guess, The search is over, when you find the bar you so desperately are looking for is right in front of you and your opening the door to a world of unleashed inhibitions and temptations. The place is quite unique in it's shape, but doesn't leave much room to party or dance. As CherryPie entered the stage, the place was filled way beyond it's capacity. Their performance was awesome, but at times it was hard to hear near the entrance due to the fact that the sound didn't carry very well. As for John, who is very adament in getting what he wants out of the crowd, seemed to win them over. I guess there's nothing like the taste of victory, but it's more rewarding when you actually claim it as yours and you can say, you got the crowd to break down and give into the night. There were a few memorable things that happened that night and hopefully will carry with me to the next show." Toe Knee V (Mill Creek): "Excellent show again guys. Every one of our employees had a blast. Glad you could fit us in. Hop we can grab 1 more show before the summer. Hope you enjoyed the za." |
