A Word from Josh: For such a small town, Theresa puts on a pretty kick ass little festival. We were glad to take part for a second time this year. Scattered showers fell on the softball games and kiddie rides during the afternoon. As the sun set, the band pavilion filled up quite nicely and made us feel right at home as we hit the stage. Things warmed up in a hurry and we fed off of the hot crowd's enthusiasm all evening long. We saw a good mix of new faces and familiar ones who came up from Milwaukee and down from Fond du Lac among other places. In all, this show really combined the best of two worlds... small town warmth & hospitality and a big ass rock show in front of a great crowd. About 500 friendly rockers joined us for the show and afterwards the local firemen made sure we got our fill of burgers, brats and beer. It don't get much better than that. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Donavan & Becky: "Hey guys! Once again you have rocked our world! It has been a month or so since we last have seen you guys, but we didn't want to miss this show! Again, thanks for a great show! It is great to hear more Judas Priest! 18 And Life ROCKED!! Great vocals, John!! Anyway, see you guys next time!!! P.S. Josh, was that Subdivisions you were tinkering with before the show?" Kirk Ponto: "This show rocked you guys were great. Planning on comming back next year." Bittersweeteus: "In the still of the night as the moon rises you can see the people gathering to see a coverband they call CherryPie. As they appear on stage and belt out those 80's rock songs, the fans bring themselves closer to listen. The band plays with such profoundness, that it got so hot that there was no time to rest. And John, sang those songs as if there was a fortune to be had at the end and he wasn't going to settle to be second best. When it was all over, everyone went on their way and headed home sweet home." I love Pie: "Thanks for the phone call Rico but Adam's the D-BAG" jodie: "hey guys, the show on sat was awesome! Thanx shane, you made my night with that picture!" TFD Picnic: "If you’re a Cherry Pie fan, you understand, I believe others don’t. When you hire a band to perform at your event, you would like a few things, great music, a following and hopefully a good show. When you hire Cherry Pie, you get much, much more! The show was awesome! Thank you to the band! I realize we are not Summerfest but our picnic is important and vital to our survival. We are a small town Fire Department and the picnic allow us to buy equipment that is not budgeted, however, very important. I had asked Johnny about using the microphone about an announcement for our raffle, while they were on break, His reply was "It’s your picnic, anything you need." Thank You! We have had many bands come thru our picnic, but none have created the community excitement like you guys! Their showmanship and professionalism is deserving of the highest quality venues, but they were there for us, and the show ROCKS! Thank You! Thank You! Thank you! From every member of the department, and from the community who will benefit from the profits. Theresa Fire Department Picnic Committee 2006" |
