A Word from Josh:
It felt a little odd playing a basic bar gig this time of year. Indeed, the room was far from packed, but that just made for a more intimate setting for such a rocking good time. Again, the folks at Austin's treated us really great. Their hospitality included some great food. I indulged in a giant cheeseburger with the works before the show. As a result, I went on stage happy but somewhat lacking in energy. The spunky crowd helped me get my groove on eventually. Of course, John didn't need any help rockin' the joint from the first notes. During the second set, many of the most vocal patrons kept screaming for some heavier stuff. I guess we were in a metal mood as well because we deviated from the set list quite a bit to accommodate the requests, including "The Trooper" which was dedicated to an Army veteran who will soon be shipping out for a second tour of duty in Iraq. Overall, we appreciated the continued support from our friends south of the border. We'll be returning to the area pretty soon with a gig at Blarney's Island on the afternoon of Sunday, July 2. We are also definitely looking forward to returning to Austin's this September.      -Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Peggy & Mari:
"We had a great time with a great band who plays great music!!! Thanks for playing Rock You Like a Hurricane. Come back soon."

Kim:
"We saw you guys at Austin's in January and could barely move! I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded, but we were happy to have a seat at the bar, right up front! The crowd that was there was really having a good time, so that was cool! I don't usually feel "old", but I had to laugh because technically I could have been Mom to some of the crowd! Yikes!!! Anyway... we had a lot of fun and are hoping to see you guys up at Blarney's Island and then at Summerfest! OH! My brother left his wife and four small children on Father's Day to go to Iraq and I think it's so cool that you make a point to thank these guys for the sacrifice they make! So thanks for that, too!"

Bittersweeteus:
"This is another time when there was a small gathering of people and even though there weren't alot, they sure could make a noise. The CP guys put on a show that was fitting for these over-eager fans. Their performance was sensational. John kept everyone going strong with his delightful charm and the way he can move around the stage with the zeal of stalking panther. The show ended with giving you the satisfaction of knowing you had a good time."
