A Word from Josh:
How have your New Year's resolutions been coming along? Mine are OK. I've been eating plenty of bran, I've written to my Congressmen a couple of times, I check the air pressure in my tires every week and I finally finished off that roll of dental floss that I bought in 2003. On the other hand I'm still out of shape and monolingual. But I suppose it's better to have too many goals than not enough. Of course, some goals are not meant to be reached. Every time I go on stage I'm on a quest to give the perfect performance. It will never happen, but when you reach for the stars you get farther than if you don't. Saturday night was a pretty good show. Warm certainly, but it wasn't as hot as Friday night's show so I was able to maintain my energy level a lot better. Naturally, the enthusiasm of the crowd and the sheer number of hot chicks near the stage didn't hurt. Dave showed up with yet another nice home-made guitar. He has become quite the luthier. I guess that may have been one of his New Year's resolutions. Our old friend Lonnie was celebrating his birthday with us on this night. In true Lonnie fashion, he was the one bearing gifts in honor of John's recent birthday and mine next week. Thanks buddy, it covers my love handles perfectly! During the show John pointed out that our show next week in Illinois really isn't very far away from Wind Lake. Indeed Libertyville is just a couple of miles from Great America. That's cool since I know many of you made New Year's resolutions to come to more Cherry Pie shows. Yes, when you dream... dream BIG!     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Lonnie & Christ:
"We had an awesome time.I just want to say thanks to everyone who wished me happy b-day and to JOHN-JOSH-DAVE-SHANE-and RICO for letting me come up on stage and play my rippen air guitar and try to sing turn up the radio. I hope I did alright. I didn't get anything thrown at me lol so thats a plus. I wasn't feeling to good that night,my cousins took me out on friday and got me hammerd with to many yager bombs you know how that goes. We was so glad to see so many familar faces again. Greg & Jennie- Tammy- Erica and I must not forget them wild peguses boys. I'm just a little bit confused are you and john going to have a battle for the belt, and is it going to be on pay-per-veiw LOL.Oh I must not forget about the lovely Dawn I'm sad that I didn't get a B-day hug! And to my other front row ladies we were sad you that you could not be there, you know who you are XOXO.
~ LONNIE & CHRIST ~"

pie eater:
"What a great show, and man was it packed. I know there were some virgins there that got there cherry popped and are now fans."

Bittersweeteus:
"After seeing two shows in a row, it's hard to decide which one was the best. The CP guys performances at both shows was outstanding and the fans are more than willing to get into the music and paricipate. John, using his predominating demeanor and showing off his virile physic, is always is able to lead the fans into a rock'n'roll frenzy. After all this combined, the only conclusion I can come up with,is that, no matter how many shows they do, they are one hell of a 80's rock cover band. Also, no matter how many bands I have seen in the past, I'm still committed to CherryPie!!"

~Lisa~:
"Yes, Sue and I are Cherry Pie virgins no more. Pie Eater is correct that we are now fans, and we are looking forward to tasting the pie again. Cherry is my favorite after all. Thanks for a fun night, and watch for us at another show real soon."

Jeanine&Greg:
"We had a wonderful time! You guys know how to rock hard and have the energy to keep moving.Lonnie, you were wonderful singing and you sure had a wonderful birthday.Thank you for remembering my birthday! You made my day a great one, which was 2 months ago on January 14.We always look forward to seeing everyone!"
