A Word from Josh:
We've had a lot of successful shows lately, but I must say that this one was somehow more special. We were celebrating a couple of special birthdays and many friends and family joined us, some of whom we had not seen in a while. The positive vibe was contagious as we rocked with the capacity crowd. Along the way we got pretty silly and the audience humored us every step of the way. During the first set I led the crowd in a Rick Springfield sing-along. During the second set Shane spotted a guy who was particularly well-dressed so he borrowed his coat and tie for a couple of songs. Later on we paid tribute to tomorrow's Superbowl with some football action right on the stage. But it wasn't all fun and laughs (although most of the night certainly was) as John made an emotional dedication on "We All Die Young". After the show we relaxed with some pizza and birthday cake. After all, this was the end of a long weekend which included yesterday morning's TV appearance. Tired? Yes, but in a very good way.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Sherry:
"I heart Josh."

Josh:
"Wow! I had seen you guys 4 times before this and you always rocked, but this time blew me away. This was by far the best show I have seen in a while. Keep rocking out, you guys kicked major ass. I still can't hear a damn thing 12 hours later. Can't wait to see you guys again at KB2 in March. Rock on!"

Vanessa:
"Hey Guys- Just wanted to say thank you for an amazing 21st birthday, you rocked as always!"

Pete Weber:
"I was in town bowling at AMF when a little after 10 I hear the blistering vocals of Johnny Spandex. I was intriqued and went into Rooters where I was witness to a scorching performance. The whole night can be summed up in 4 words, "Thats how you Bowl!""

Jewelz:
"Well this was the 1st show of the new year for me and boy was it packed. It was such a surprise to see a few long lost faces that we haven't see in a while! As always a great time rockin out with great friends (Kat & Pat, Greg & Jeannie, Tammy, Jody, Laura, Stacy, Jen & the Pegasus boys, the other Tammy and to meet some new ones like Dave from Cary Nation) Great Friends & Great Music what more could ya want....oh yah the bonus of the evening...a favorite song played! Thanx guys love ya :)"

Jen:
"What a great show!! I haven't been able to come rock with the Pie since November and it felt great to be back to catch up with crew (Jewelz, Amanda, The Tammys, Greg and Jeanine, Jas, Jody, and the list goes on). Good times had by all and hope to see you all again soon!!"

Greg Godina:
"Jeanine and I had a great time at Rooter's. It was really great to see some long lost faces again(Jen, Kevin, the Pegasus boys, Kat and that FREAK Pat TOO among others!). It was good to meet Dave from Carry Nation again. What made the night nice and wild was Vanessa celebrating her 21st B-day with her "Proud Papa" Shane. Hope you had a good one Vanessa. Come back for more of your Dad and the rest of the Pie, OK?"

Amanda:
"Hey guys!!! Great show. Shane your daughter is beautiful. You must be a proud papa. It was good to see some of the long lost pie fans and I'm sure a good time was had by all. C-ya at the next show!!!!"

Kat & Pat:
"Ya know that saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" well it's true!! After being on "hiatus" from the band it makes me us realize just how frickin' awesome they sound and what a great show they put on, John is such a great FRONT man (loved the confetti bag dump) that was priceless!!! Was so good to see the familiar faces of Jody, Jewelz, Michelle, Greg and Jeanine, Tammy & Tammy, Terri, and to party again with Vanessa and crew was awesome (brought back memories of the crazy Luau night). Vanessa your such a beautiful girl and sweet as "PIE". HOPE TO SEE YOU MORE OFTEN NOW THAT YOUR LEGAL :) AND YOUR CRAZY BOYFRIEND TOO."

Jars:
"YOU GUYS REALLY WAIL!"

Tammy ( the other Tammy ):
"Hey guys- you played like you never had before ( here I thought you would be POOPED OUT by Saturday after your TV appearance - and the road trip up to Cedarburg ) NO WAY .....I think there was something in the air Saturday.....A typical Rooters crowd usually clears out around the 1:10 P.M. mark....not this Saturday....the crowd was " NUTS " right to the end ( FULL MOON ? )...It was so great to see " everyone " ( my little Amanda, Tammy, Greg and Jeanine, Jen and Kevin , the the rest of the Pegus band, Pat and Kat, Jewelz, Jody, Terry and so many other familar faces ) and in closing- To John " Great Pipes " we love ya.... see you all very soon.. bye bye and have a great rest of the week!!!!"

Bittersweeteus:
"What is there to say about when CherryPie performs at Rooter's that hasn't already been said. The place is always packed and as the night goes on, the people just keep flowing in. CherryPie's performance is always way beyond the limits of professionalism. And John, wearing his attitude ridden Slayer shirt, always leads the fans into a night of head-banging, hell-raising, hard-rockn' partying time. One thing you can count on from these guys, is a night of fun antics and taking you back to when 80's rock was truly rock'n'roll. One more thing, love the new songs that you added to the song lists, Poundcake and Fox on the Run!!!!"

wallace and sweatie uncle teddy:
"Our fourth trip to see Cherry Pie at Rooters was once again filled with everything we dreamed of....beer..women..crazy stage antics...and always the best 80's music ever made. Thanks John for the dedication! We've got plans to rock hard in madison the 24th cya there...Keep Rockin Hard!!"
