A Word from Josh: With hot weather giving way to ominous storm clouds during my drive to the show I was wondering if weather would be a problem during the course of the evening. But that was just one of several questions that were on my mind at the time, not the least of which was "Where the heck is Theresa, Wisconsin?" Well I managed to find the gig, as did the rest of the band, and we were glad to discover that the stage was located safely in a cozy pavilion. Indeed, the rain did come and it came hard, but only for about 45 minutes shortly before showtime. I guess it worked to our benefit by forcing hundreds of people into the pavilion giving us a somewhat captive audience for the first few songs. By the time the rain relented, we seemed to have won over the crowd and the room remained quite packed for the duration of the evening. As it turns out, Theresa is a lovely little hamlet of just over a thousand people located about 30 miles south of Fond du Lac. Interestingly enough, Theresa is actually pronounced exactly as it is spelled. What a concept. Anyway, the show went well and it was a lot of fun. The small town charm and hospitality was in full force ensuring us a great time. We may not have known where Theresa was before today, but we're glad we do now. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? ed: "nice change of pace from the usual, overplayed, bubble-gum rock that graces our picnics. A blast from the glorious 80's" The other "Tammy": "HIGH ENERGY show, that is all I can say..you guys once again excellent performance ( and what a crazy audience )... I think you showed the town of Theresa how to really ROCK!!! We started the day @ noon by attending the annual Quad/Graphics picnic, right down the road in Hartford. And what a treat, the Pie was playing 10 min away, you could not have planned that better if you tried. This was truly a great time.. what a nice way to end a long day.....Of course it was great to see Jody, Greg and Jeannie and many, many others made the trip up... hope to see everyone @ the Grand opening of Coconut Joe's... should be HOOT- beware of Okauchee boaters!!!!" Donavan and Becky: "Hey guys!! We had alot of fun the other night and wanted to say once again you put on a great show!! Sorry I brought the rain, John, but you guys made the rain go away. Becky thanks you, John for toasting her and singing to her. We were the ones right up front! What a great spot to rock with you guys!!!" Bittersweeteus: "I know John said that if you want it to rain, just have CherryPie play at your event. I think, instead, that they add a thunderous effect to the rain. With the way they play, it makes the walls rumble which in turn makes the fans roar for more. And John, who acts like a lightening rod, collects the electricity and throws it into the crowd. Also his take-charge attitude is enough to keep everyone's attention. Considering I havent't been to a few past shows, it was sure great to see you guys again. It also makes me realize how much I missed you!! Great show, Guys!!" Debbie & Gary: "Another fantastic show.We had a great time with ya'll guys as always. Nice to see our old friends and meet new one. Ya'll really know how to have a great time on stage and it shows how much you enjoy what you do.You have a way of having people enjoy themselves while you enjoy yourselves. You Guys Rock no matter how you said it. YOUR THE BEST. Thanks Josh for letting me play along with the band. That really made my night. I hope you enjoyed your drinks on me. Hope you feel better soon Rico. Take Care And God Bless." |
