A Word from Josh:
In the days leading up to this show we joked about how our fans coming down from Wisconsin would teach those Illinois folks how to rock and show them how wild we like to party north of the border. Well, that turned out to be more true than we had hoped. Overall, the show was well-attended and well-received, But it was our friends, about 50 of them who came down in a caravan that included a large bus, that dominated the dance floor and really established the Bacchanalian tone for the evening. Now, I don't know if Shark City normally draws a more mellow crowd or if maybe our Cheeseheads (many of them dressed in 80s rocker & groupie costumes) intimidated everybody else, but let's call it like it is... a challenge has been issued, the gauntlet has been laid down... Illinois, you got served! We'll be back soon and we'll see if you can raise it up a notch. Hey, we love playing down there but, please, try to keep up. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. It was a great night, a lot of fun and it's awesome to continue making more friends in far away places. Of course, John feels right at home down in Chicago-land (he even has an I-Pass). But he'll still kick your ass if you say anything bad about the Packers. We were glad to see Kevin C, Rob and Jim from ARRA in the house. The show ran pretty smooth and afterward the fun continued. John, Shane and I attended a late-night party at a nearby hotel where we enjoyed some refreshments including some fresh sliders (we don't have White Castle up in God's country). Pat provided some entertainment by showing the video of me getting knocked down by a confetti canon during last week's show. He ran the 10-second clip over and over again to the amusement of the gathered partiers. It's our own little Zapruder film. Hey, thanks to Shark City and all you Illinois rockers who have become part of the Cherry Pie phenomenon. We look forward to coming back soon.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:

"Good music"

The other "Tammy":
"Bus Trip and Shark City... What can I say?? "OUT OF CONTROL" The energy level was awesome, what a great time.. Excellent planning, everything went perfectly smooth!! Kind of funny for those who did not take the bus back... well needless to say... you could hear a pin drop on the bus, I think all had one too many brewskies!!! Cherry Pie...another outstanding performance... take care..see ya soon!!!"

Jewelz:
"OMG what an evening!!! The night started out with a bus load along with tons of different drinks of choice - in NON GLASS containers (which for some of us took lots of thought on how we were going to do that) & then add shots, shots, shots, and more shots on one rowdy ride from WI to IL. There was so much alcohol that if you lit a match we would have gone up. Once we got to the venue, I do not think there was anyone who was left sober...and the night was just beginning! Continuing with our drinking we partied like crazy showing the IL folks just how us WI CP faithful party. A few crazy moments, some exposed womanhood, a lost g-string & most of all a great group of people to party with (Kat, Poison, Laura, My sexy dance partner Jody, Jen, Laurie, Tammy, Lonnie, Christ, Greg, Jeannie, The Pegasus Boys & the other Tammy-it was a pleasure meeting you & everyone else who took the bus down) what more could you ask for. OH yah CP was playing bonus for us! I do want to send out some thank-u's to Kat & the gang for organizing the trip, to Wendy & Dave for the Cherry Pie shots, to Laurie for a very eventful ride back to the hotel....I now know every inch of Glendale Heights & the Pegasus boys thanx for sharing the back seat with me! And to everyone who didn't go on this trip...man o man you really missed a terrific show!"

Jen:
"What a night!!! I would have to agree with Julie on showing IL how us "cheeseheads" can really party!! Was quite inspiring to watch the sea of long hair and pleather wash into Shark City! Soon, the drinks were flowing and the music was rocking; the boys of CP definitely put on one hell of a show!! Thanks Lori for getting the crazy crew back to the hotel in one piece and what a ride it was! The party didn't stop there, and I'm still trying to ponder how many people managed to fit into that tiny room!! Was great to see all of you!! Thanks to CP, Kevin, Kevin and Tim, Jas, Kat and Pat, Julie, Jody, Stef (so glad you made it girl, told ya that all the crossing of the body parts would help!), the Tammys, and all the other fellow rockers to help make the night a very memorable one indeed!!"

Vince Vetter:
"Kept it Hard, Kept if Fast!!! That's all one can say. To those that missed it...well, you missed it! To those that rocked, we salute you! Thank you, Good Night--VV"

Chicago Fan:
"To Cherry Pie: You are awesome!!! To Folks from Wisconsin: Next time there is a contest on who can party better; fill us in!! See we Chicago Peeps -we let the band entertain us not the other way around. but will give you this... you guys seem to be having a great time so Rock On!!! but don't knock us because we supposedly did not get into them as much as you did I think you were too smashed to notice."

KAT:
"Wow what can I say..........I feel like I had been planning for months for this trip and poof it was over in the blink of an eye! I sure hope all of the loyal bus riding fans had a blast and it was worthwhile Pat and Josh put alot of time and effort into putting that all into gear!So sorry the VHS on the bus wasn't working because we had a special video to watch that Kevin (Vince Vetter) worked SO HARD on to prepare and it was dedicated to the fans and sorry all we had was a radio but we had fun right? I had a blast even though I was "smashed" thanx to Greg, Tammy and the "other Tammy for the great pics, thanx to Wendy and Dave for the awesome yummy cherrypie shots! wow do those sneak up on ya!!!! It was awesome to see some our ACROSS THE BORDER FRIENDS~ the ARRA guys and my 3 favorite ARRA fans (you know who you are) thanx for the sliders! yummy!!!! you Illinois folks may think they suck but to us Cheezheads those are a taste treat! Thanx to Jen and Lori for letting us take over and trash their room, wow how many people did we have in there? Loved dancing and singing the night away with Jas, Jewelz, Jen, Vince and the boyz, Stef and Laura, the gorgeous Jody aka "rocker barbie", all the bus riders, Barb, Sherrie, Julie etc. etc. etc. Luv ya and see everybody soon!!!!!!"

LONNIE&CHRIST:
"Well what can you say about the SHARK CITY bus trip that hasn't already been said. I detect a little sence of jealousy for that CHICAGO FAN just cause us CHEESEHEADS know how to partYYYY! And appreciate an AWESOME BAND! Don't pat your self on the back to hard. Hey I know that we was't to drunk to know that we were in BRET FARVE favorite place to play. GO PACKERS! And to all the CP fans that made the trip had an AWESOME time with you all. And to CP keep on ROCKIN DUDES!"

Vince Vetter:
"Too smashed? Hey, my friend, that's where the rock took us that night. If you can't handle the CRAZY TRAIN of rock and roll, you should probably think twice about a CP show. The party never stops there, so you should probably just get used to it. Try it our way next IL gig, and you'll never go back."

Brian/Pris:
"Thank you Chicago fan! While I am a huge fan of Cherry Pie (and have been of the alter ego band Arra for 10+ yrs) - You gotta know that 3 shows in Illinois does not a breakout band make. Again, take it as a complement - I have been up to "gods country" 3 times to see music - once for Motley Crue and twice (!) for Cherry Pie - I would gladly adpot them as a Chicago Band (gasp) - but until you get a little more following down here - you don't really know how we party. I brought 8 with me, and believe me - we gave it our all. Only way to figure it out is to COME ON BACK DOWN!!!"

Stef:
"I had the BEST time on Friday. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make the trip down to IL, but I am SOOOOO glad that things worked out and I got to go. (I think all that crossing of body parts helped tons Jen!)Thanks to CP for putting on a great show and to Kat for all of her hard work putting this bus trip together. Always fun to party with such good friends.....Kat, Tammy, Tammy, Laura, Julie, Jody, Jas, Lonnie, Christ, Brandy, Greg and Jeanie. Plus everyone else I forgot. Keep in mind I had a lot to drink! :)"

Cherry Pie Twins:
"We had a blast! The bus ride was wild! A really good idea that must be repeated. The show was awesome. Chicago/IL fans, I'm sure we'll have more chances to test out your theory. Thanks to the band and everyone there for an awesome time!!!"

Bittersweeteus:
"The small crowd of Illinois fans were sitting quietly and watching with anticipation to see this band called, CherryPie. Once CherryPie entered the stage and started the show with one hard rockn', kick-ass song, the Illinois and bussed in WI fans, raised their voices and joined in. The band performed with great intensity. John, wearing that sexy black outfit that shows that he's fined tuned and keeps his motor clean, used his smooth and energetic moves to lead the crowd into a rockn' frenzy! This was a great show which ended, for some of us, with the long ride back to home sweet home, WI."

Greg Godina:
"My "future" wife Jeanine and had a real blast at Shark City. CP had a fantastic show on stage, while there was another show on the dance floor (as performed by a certain brunette in a miniskirt that I know)! Overall, Shark City wasn't such a bad place to be, although I would not really agree with some people's choice in football teams (Packers and Bears). I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. GO DALLAS COWBOYS!!!!"

The Other Tammy's Friend Chris:
"Had a great time on the bus and the Show was Awsome!!!! It was nice getting to meet all of you. The Cherry Pie shots were Yummy! See you all at Rooters..."

Paulie:
"You guys rocked!"

Proud F.I.B.:
"Hey Chicago Fan & Brian/Pris... sounds like we need to prove to the chedder-heads who the better partiers are. I unfortunately moved to up to chedderville and therefore have been to shows up here..... very different.... I'll leave it at that. ;) Anyway, wasn't at the CP show, but I'm sure it was a good time. Arra Rocks!! ooops, Cherry Pie Rocks too."
