A Word from Josh:
It's funny how the Badger Bowl and Dry Bean Saloon are only about four miles apart and, although we do see a lot of the same people in both rooms, they each have a very different vibe. Quite simply, things always get a little more crazy at the Dry Bean. Tonight was a perfect example as hundreds of people packed the Bean and really went nuts. Perhaps they needed to let off some steam after a long week of work or maybe they just needed to spend a few hours without hearing about Terri Schiavo. But, whatever the reason, this crowd made this a memorable night for us. There were a lot of birthdays in the house and at least one bachelorette who John invited to the stage. It turns out that this lovely young bride-to-be would be getting married at 3 PM on Saturday. That's a mere 14 hours from the time that she put on a Cherry Pie shirt over her veil on our stage. "We'll get you to the wedding on time," promised John. I hope she's got some Visine. One small group of guys at the show made their presence known by chanting "Maiden!! Maiden!!" at various times during the evening. We eventually acquiesced with a performance of "The Trooper" which is always fun. Perhaps we should learn some more equestrian-themed tunes. Overall, this was a great night which showcased our strong Madison following. That popularity is going to be put to the test next month when we play the Badger Bowl and Luther's Blues on back-to-back nights. We hope you'll come join us and find out if it's really possible to have too much of a good thing.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Craig Johnson:
"It's been awhile since I've seen you guys play. As usual you guys freakin' ROCKED!!!! One of the best Birthday Parties I've ever had! (Thanks for the beer a little wet but who cares) We also introduced some new folks to your show and I guarantee they'll be back. Again thanks, we had "nothin' but a good time".
Sincerely, CJ"

Sally:
"I wanted to let you guys know, that we seen you at Riverfest in Beloit!! We are from Illinois but we couldn't wait for the next time we could come see you. We don't like to drink and drive (too far) so we got a hotel room and came to check you out again!! I just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed you once again. I was wondering if you would be willing to check out playing at the Back Bar in Janesville. Their webite is www.thebackbar.com. We would be sure to bring all our friends liek dont' like to drink and drive (too far). If not hopefully we will see you at Beloit Riverfest again!!! KEEP ROCKIN!!!!!"

Rich:
"Thanks for another great show! I was surrounded by old and new friends (I always meet new friends at your shows) and rockin’ music. I love the vibe you guys create, bringing out the fun-lovin' free spirits in the audience. It is a special crowd that you attract and you know how to keep them happy. I appreciate the thought you put into the set list. You have a good pacing of rockers and slow songs, as well as a variety of old and new-school and I like them all. You definitely keep the energy going even through the ballads - they are power ballads, after all! I can’t wait to see what other favorites make it into your expanding repertoire. You guys continue to be the live jukebox of my fondest teens/20's memories. Keep rockin' and I'll see you next time!"

Rich:
"GREAT SHOW!!! I have lost count of the number of times I have seen you guys....you NEVER fail to entertain. What a great way to end a BAD week!! It was great chatting with Shane after the show... maybe we will see ya around the lake sometime. Can't wait for the next show!! Keep on rocking!!!"

Bittersweeteus:
"One thing you can always count on, is that, CherryPie can take the good ole' country bar, Dry Bean, and turn it into one hell of a hard rockn' bar. With the adrenaline already pumping from the Badger basketball team win against NCU, it sure helped intensify the already eager fans. The CP guys played like a raging fire out of control keeping the temperature rising as the night went on. Showing off his great dance moves and persistant demeanor, John was able to keep the fans interested and coming back for more. For the Dry Bean, it turned out to be more than I expected in more ways then one."
