A Word from Josh: Yes, another great show at Rooters. This is getting habit-forming (knock on wood). As such, what can I say that I haven't said before?... The place was packed with a great crowd, our show went smoothly and hemlock is poison. One thing that made this show even better than our last Rooters show was that we didn't have to see Pats hairy buttocks. Speaking of exhibitionist roadies, our old road horse Dan, who worked for us from September 2002 thru March 2004, came out to this show. We abused him mercilessly for old time's sake and I'm sure he loved every minute of it. Adding to the festive atmosphere were many birthdays being celebrated, at least six that I know of, including Linda, who held a big party in the upper level VIP zone, and our own Monstro Libido (more about his birthday tomorrow night). The Cutty dancers were back for this show. During the drum solo, a couple of these ladies invited me into their dancing cage with them. That was a pleasant experience. But I must apologize to Jennifer who, in the line of duty, suffered a torn fishnet stocking when it got snagged on the wireless monitor receiver on my belt. To me, the best indication of how well the night went was how I managed to keep up my energy level through the end of the show. I was behind on sleep again, much like last week in Lodi. But, unlike the Lodi Bowl, the crowd at Rooters kept me rockin' until the end. I really appreciate that. Later on, I relied on a couple of pizzas, a Milky Way and a whole lotta Coca-Cola to get me home safely. I'm considering a New Year's resolution to start a cocaine habit to keep me on my toes. All this junk food is KILLING me! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Kirk: "hey guys, thanks for a great show. I share a birthday with your ever popular bass player, Monstro Labido, and I play bass guitar too..weird! You guys rock just as hard as you ever have! Thanks for adding the Trooper to the list of songs! later... Kirk" Angie: "Was there celebrating with Kirk for his birthday...all I can say is just another AWESOME performance!! A good time was had by all. As usual, can't wait for another show!!" Jewelz: "What a terrific night. I have to say that CP is one of the very few bands that can pack Rooters on a Friday night, the line was down the hall just to get in!! As always awesome night with lots of terrific CP friends (Jody, Kat, Poison, Laura, Greg, and can't forget my NEW Don't Treat Me Bad dance partner-sorry Jody I think you've been replaced atleast for that song!!) And a Happy Birthday to both Linda and Mr. Shane the Man Libdo ;-)" Vince Vetter: "Once again you guys were Rockin Like Dokken. Great time had by all. Set list was outstanding. Now Jewelz, Jody, there's nothing saying we all just can't dance together for Don't Treat Me Bad. Keep up the rock boys, and see you next week. Keep it Hard...Keep It Fast!!!" Bittersweeteus: "No matter how many times I've been to Rooter's to see CP, it still proves to be the rowdiest bar. When the guys perform here, they have so much energy that it surges right into the crowd. And John radiates his own forte through his intoxicating dance moves, skillful way of enticing the crowd, and his entertaining antics. I always have a blast here and at the end of each show, I always want more." |
