A Word from Josh: One thing is for sure, Madison is getting plenty of Pie this Fall. This was our third Madison show in five weeks which is fine with me since I live nearby. It's good to see that the MadTown isn't sick of us yet as another strong crowd filled the Badger Bowl. The usual mix of hot babes, rockin' dudes and alcohol made for a very enjoyable evening. However, it was not completely without problems. The setlist included several songs that we had not done in quite a while. I was glad to see them back in the show, but this also meant that we had to remember how to play them. As we cleared the cobwebs in our brains digging out these old favorites, we certainly missed a few notes. In particular, I must apologize for hitting a real clunker early on in "Bed of Roses". But hey, it's good to keep us on our toes. The crowd was great, providing plenty of entertainment for us as we worked hard to entertain them. One memorable moment came when a guy at the front of the stage was gesturing toward John and then fell face first right onto the stage. This was one of those druken falls where he didn't even seem to protect himself with his hands, so when I said "face first" that's exactly what I meant. This resulted in a moment of pause because we were afraid he might have been hurt. It quickly became apparent that he was OK and then we all got a pretty good chuckle out of it. But, you know what we always say about responsible rockin' n rollin'... safety first. OK, so we've never actually said that before, but I'm saying it now. OK? Hey, our next Madison show will be the night before Thanksgiving at Pooley's over by EastGate. We've never played there before and it's a pretty big room, so I hope we can count on our Madison friends to help us make a good first impression. 'See ya there. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jenn: "Surprisingly enough I don't feel too bad today....the show was phenomenal as usual!! I remember getting on stage but everything else is a blurr....just kidding." Spider Man: "You guys rocked as always!!! John I think its time to buy a new whistle for Paradise city. That damn thing didn't work at Dry Bean either lol!!!!" Bittersweeteus: "You guys rocked as always!!! John I think its time to buy a new whistle for Paradise city. That damn thing didn't work at Dry Bean either lol!!!What a way to kick off November. With the cold weather sneaking up on us, we need something to warm the blood and get it flowing. No better way, then to go see CherryPie. They threw out so much heat, tht it was like a sauna inside the bar. And who to add more to it, was John. With his alluring demeanor and being the rock'n'roll man he is, he definitely turned up the heat. After a show like this, that cold weather sure was welcomed." Rockin Reed: "You guys kicked ass Friday night! Brought people from Minnesota and Illinois and all had a great time. Can't wait til Pooleys to rock out some more." |
