A Word from Josh:
This was a very impressive event, complete with rides, lots of food, beer, family activities, thousands of attendees, local bands and national acts. However, they had the audacity to schedule it during my vacation to Door County. As such, John graciously agreed to transport my equipment to and from the show so that I could simply drive down from my perch in Ephraim for the gig and then return up north without having to think about heading home. In addition, the circumstances also necessitated that I bring my dog to the festival. Buster was a big hit with people in Sheboygan, which made it easy to keep him entertained while I was working. An 11-month-old black lab approaching 100 pounds, many people enjoyed playing with this giant puppy whenever I let him out of the van and he obviously got a kick out of it as well. Buster and I arrived nice and early and we were able to enjoy The Dewey's who played two sets of classic rock before we took the stage. Our show was a success despite dealing with technical issues with the sound system. Hundreds of festival-goers rocked the night away with us in a huge tent which also included many food and beer vendors. The crowd included many new faces as well as friends, some of whom we hadn't seen in years, others who we hadn't seen in days. There was a strong showing by people traveling from Fond du Lac and Ripon in addition to others who came up from the Milwaukee area. We were glad to see our crowd stick around throughout the evening, even when the Gin Blossoms started their set on the main stage a few hundred yards away. Event organizers said they were impressed by our ability to keep the crowd going and have already spoken to us about returning next year. Because the park is located in a residential neighborhood, we had to finish our show before 11 PM which gave us plenty of time to hang out afterward with friends, old and new. We'd like to thank the staff for treating us so well, helping to make it a very enjoyable time for all of us.     --Josh

"FUN, FUN, FUN it was great to see so many familiar faces!!! despite sound/light kinks the guys pulled off another dynamite show! The crowd was realy into it and alot of people from the Sheboygan area even mentioned making the trip down to see CP play at the fair. To Jewelz #2 thanx for introducing yourself nice to see you! :) sorry if i wasn't able to chat with everyone but i was on picture detail (until Kip relieved me) and beer detail for hubby while he was running lights. I hope to catch up with ya all at the fair!! State fair here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S Thanx so much to the wonderful staff at Bratfest, you guys were great!!!!!! especially (the main man) you know who you are :) P.S.S Josh's dog is too cute after the show he proceeded to steal a mountain dew bottle out of the hand of a local police officer and run around the park all proud as if he were saying look what i did daddy!! too cute!"

Bittersweeteus:
"Bratwurst days reminded me of the old-fashioned festivals that I used to go to when I was young. Then Cherrypie came along and brought those old days to the era of hard rock'n'roll. They played those great 80's rock songs with tremendous aspiration that it put life into the crowd. John was dynamic and full-of-life, which inspired the crowd to get involved in those rock'n'roll memories. I had a great time and it felt good to relive those care-free days when 80's rock was prevailing."

YouthGoneWild:
"As I mounted my steel horse I decided to head to Sheboygan for the Same Ol'Situation that is Nothin but a Good Time. As I pulled into town all I saw was Girls Girls Girls. All in all it was a great show and as usual I was sad to see it end. As I mounted my steel horse again at the end of the night I realized I was Alone Again. The ride home was long but I got back quick because I can't drive 55, although passing a couple of cops I thought I was going to be Wanted...Dead or Alive. See ya at state fair!!!!"

Jac Hammer:
"The show was great and it was nice meeting some new people! I can't wait until State Fair!"

Jeanine:

LONNIE & CHRIST:
"Well it was an awsome show! Sorry that there was some sound system problems but what the heck when your'e at a CP show you always have a rockin good time no matter what happens. I never ever went to a CP show were I didn't go home without a fricken smile on my face and me and the wife been seeing CP since 3-3-2000. My cousins had a great time to and TERI and TERRI and STEVE had a great time hanging out before and after the show at my cousins house. And to KIP it was great finely getting a chance to talk to ya! Way to get some great pictures and still hang on to the camera why that guy was whipping all that hair around everyone. It was great seeing JAS & KAT & PAT & BARB & JENNY & sister & ERIC. And to the waukasha boys. Hey youthgonewild you sure know how to live up to your'e name keep rockin dudes. And last but not least hi to maribeth and husband hope you have your'e baby soon!"

shelly k:
"Kudos to the Jaycees for booking you guys. It was great to see everyone. I was surprised to see all the road trippers there but from the journal entries everyone got home safe-that's what matters to me. Tell Shane I have a pair of sunglasses he can model next year. And Josh, Buster is a doll even though he tried to tie me up like a pretzel!! Thanks to Maria for all her tips on Rooters-I will get there some day-I promise. Take care and see you soon!! Shelly"

Cath:
"After waiting so many years for my favorite group of guys to return to Sheboygan where it all first began...you finally made it back! The show was a blast and as always the music was great! Barb and I have traveled many miles over the years along with a few other local folks to see you play and finally you were in our backyard again. I hope you can do more gigs here in the future but until then you know the road won't keep me from seeing my very cool friends play another rockin Cherry Pie show! Love ya guys and see ya soon!"

Missie:
"My husband and I originally came down to Brat Days to watch the Gin Blossoms, but we were wondering around (mostly back and forth between the beer stands) and just happened to be sitting on the benches in front of the stage when Cherry Pie started playing, and we were incredibly impressed. We left to go check out the Gin Blossoms, and I looked at my husband, and said "this sucks, let's go back by Cherry Pie." They blew the Gin Blossoms away. The energy on stage and in the crowd was electricfying. They were awesome and I can't wait for them to come back to town- hopefully adding Ozzy and Lita!! Like I told John, I can do Lita!!"
