A Word from Josh:
Yet another spectacular night at Rooters. Afterward, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that this was our biggest turnout ever in this room. Yep, things just keep getting better. And, of course, it wasn't all about quantity (although in the music biz, size DOES matter). This crowd was also very big on quality! Valentine's Day brought out the best in everybody. There was indeed love and lust in the air. Our good friends Lonnie and Christ were giving out cute blinkie magnets. They gave me one shaped like a guitar which I hung on my keyboards during the show. It's been a long layoff since our last show and, as usual, what we may have lacked in musical cohesiveness we more than made up for with our excitement to be back on stage again. During the time off, John was neck deep in slots and ho's out in Vegas. He too was bearing gifts that he picked up on his trip. This was a night of extremes. It was so cold outside and so hot inside. Many people dressed delightfully trashy while quite a few others were shockingly formal. And then there were the tall people! At 6'7" I'm usually the tallest person in a room, but tonight I seemed downright average. Not only were there several men around my size and a few women over six feet, there was also this one guy who had to be at least 7'3". Poor guy must get hassled about his size constantly. Perhaps another reason things were so exciting was the anticipation of this coming Tuesday's Presidential Primary, a day of great personal tradition for me; a day when my enthusiastic idealism and hunger for a better world are ritualistically crushed by the harsh realization that not many people think like me. I'm sure a lot of you think that's a good thing. After all, I was the one who said we'd be sacrificing a puppy on stage tonight. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary with all the crazy people already raising Hell with us. So, here's to Valentine's Day, Presidential Elections and 80s rock!!!     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

jerrilynn tzakis:
"just have to say you all sounded great!!! love it. please dont stop! :-) love the spandex!! yummy!"

Bittersweeteus:
"In the still of the night, the cp guys broke their chains of inhibitions and rocked the place like a hurricane. They moved from one song to the next with such zeal, that the crowd didn't have time to catch their breath. This show was great guys and I only have one thing to left to say, "let's get, let's get, let's get rocked!!!"

Jewelz:
"It was wonderful having so many CP friends in attendance such as Jody, Michele, Lonnie, Chris, Stef, and Dawn to name a few. Thanks again to Lonnie and Chris for supplying the blinky blinks!! And it was really a pleasure to meet Kitty Kat!! We owe it all to you guys - so thanks for bringing us all together and of course thanks for yet another terrific performance and all around outstanding evening. Till next time."

crazyforya:
"Had never been to Rooters before. Last time we heard Cherry Pie was Labor Day weekend last year. Long wait but well worth it! My favorite, again, as always, is Ah Leah by Donnie Iris - takes me back to my days growing up in Pittsburgh! Who would ever think that I would come all the way to Milwaukee and find a band that plays one of my all time favorite songs. Didn't actually think anyone outside of Pittsburgh ever really heard that song. My husband and I had a great time - stayed much longer than we should have but it was well worth it. Looking forward to seeing you guys again very soon. Hopefully next time we can bring our teenagers with us!"
