A Word from Josh: I was really looking forward to this unusual event for quite a while and it certainly did not disappoint. It was a great opportunity to see some of the area's top bands play, meet and greet their members & supporters and just shmooze with all sorts of old friends, new friends and industry folks. Technically, playing a set in the middle of all this (we played 2nd following Rhythm Method) was not easy, getting all that equipment on and off stage in cramped quarters, but the electricity in the air really made every moment something to feel good about. I can't even begin to start listing the people I was glad to see and talk to, even if it was just for a moment. The turnout was tremendous, with over 200 people through the door at 3 PM, an hour before the first band played. And they kept coming throughout the afternoon. We were so honored that the guys in Rhythm Method thought enough of us to ask us to participate. We can't thank them enough. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Teri: "I came to see C.P. Also to help the benafit. My sister passed away of cancer. And the close friends fighting cancer too. It was great to see these bands spent their time helping others. This really touch my heart. I still party hard!! See ya at Rooter's again till than love ya Pie's." Brent (Rhythm Method): "Thanks again for your participation on Sunday. It was a perfect day and you guys helped us tremendously. Anything any you ever need...consider it done." Bittersweeteus: "It's very admirable that all four bands provided their time and talents to help out a fellow musician. And hats off to those people that came to give and show their support. I had a great time! I got to see two bands that I've been always curious about, but most of all, to see the cp guys. John and the guys were electrifying and had the crowd charged up. Great job to those who all were involved." |
