| A Word from Josh: Friday the 13th struck us pretty hard today. The show was shaping up to be spectacular with a beautiful sunny afternoon full of thousands of people enjoying live music and food. We played on a much larger stage than last year and it was in a very spacious tent. The show got of to a good start with a huge crowd cheering us on. But only five songs in we were stopped by the festival because of an approaching storm which was threatening the event with high winds and lightning. At first we were told to power down and wait it out as we've done several times before. But just a few minutes later they determined that the prudent thing to do was to end the festival and send everybody home. A moderate rain did fall as we packed up our gear and with it came some lightning and moderate winds. Could the show have proceeded? Probably, but that's easy to say in hindsight. It seems that festivals are being more cautious ever since the tragedy at the Indiana State Fair in 2011. As disappointing as it was to end the show so quickly, we have to respect the decision.
