A Word from Josh: This was a mid-afternoon show with a 3:00 pm start on a covered stage in an otherwise open-air setting. After a morning of menacing overcast skies the weather eventually cooperated and provided us with a beautiful day, ideal for an event like this. As showtime approached bikers arrived in droves and the atmosphere grew more and more festive. The show went well and seemed to hit all the right notes for this diverse all-ages crowd. The event organizers treated us great and seemed very pleased with everything. I must also give a big shout-out to our crew for going above and beyond for a show like this. Remember, we played last night in Dodgeville which means that they got very little sleep between the 3:00 am load-out of that show and the 9:00 am load-in for this one with a two hour drive in between. As always they came through with flying colors, making us look and sound good which is difficult enough in the best of circumstances. With the early start also came an early finish which meant we all had the opportunity to go to bed at a reasonable time to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for Mother's Day tomorrow. I'm not saying that's what all of us did, just that we had the "opportunity" to. Happy Mother's Day everybody!! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
