A Word from Josh:
It's a long-standing tradition for the Detroit Lions to play a home game on Thanksgiving Day. A similarly-beloved tradition is for Cherry Pie to play at the Badger Bowl on Thanksgiving Eve. Aren't holiday traditions wonderful? In this case I'd have to say Yes. Tonight, a lot of people agreed and came out to get their groove on with us. It's a good way to develop one's appetite for Thanksgiving dinner. Looking out on the dance floor throughout the night it appeared that other appetite's were also being developed. All I can say is, with another Wisconsin winter bearing down on us, it's nice to see people willing to keep each other warm. Our show went pretty well except for the fact that a minor illness rendered Kase unable to sing much, especially in the second set. That's a situation where a large consumption of alcohol can be very helpful (not by Kase, but rather the audience). It's a well-known fact that we've played at the Badger Bowl far more than any other venue over the years and, on a night like tonight, it's not hard to see why. It's our home away from home and a great place to enjoy some holiday cheer. That sentiment will be especially true in a few weeks when we once again renew our tradition of playing here on New Year's Eve. See y'all then!     --Josh
